Re: Importing Sound Files
Hi, First, ripping a CD means extracting the individual tracks as individual playable audio files. It doesn't mean creating an image of the disk or extracting CD ready files. An image or raw cda file is not a recognizable playable file . The ripping program should have file format options to rip the...

Re: Need Help : Creating New Click Tracks - MixCraft 10
Hi, :) What I meant was, is you microphone plugged into that line - or is your laptop or computer mic "always on" and set to record? That's the only way I can think of how the feed back from the metronome would be recorded - unless you had the input set to loopback. Normally one shouldn't ...

Re: Is anybody using both Mixcraft and Cubase?
Hi, I use different tools for different functions. For music scoring and notation, i use Notion 6 and Finale. I'll dump midi from either into MC then add VIs or I'll record audio directly into MC from them. Depends on what i need to do. Any complex piano roll stuff i'll either compose in a notation ...

Re: Shared Sustain via one pedal and two midi instruments WITHOUT LAYERING voices?
Your MIDI setup is important in this situation. Let's say we have 2 hardware synths and a computer. And a heads up: you mentioned clock data - Mixcraft doesn't respond to external clock data. Synth 1 is my master Synth 2 is slave 1 Computer is slave 2 The goal is to do everything on the master and h...

Re: Pickup Notes and bar offset
Hmmm. Maybe it could be helpful if you used markers that labeled specific things to keep your counting and playing on track. For example, I often use markers to indicate the first few words of the next lyric or phrase that is going to come up. I also use them to tell me the change of an instrument o...

Re: Need Help : Creating New Click Tracks - MixCraft 10
Not sure if this is what you mean, but just arm an audio track, enter your bpm/time signature and volume settings etc., then just hit record. Mixcraft will then create an audio recording of the metronome. Just be sure to adjust the setting between Time/Beats, according to whether you want a specifi...

Re: Can I hide the volume envelope on clips?
Hi, For MIDI clips to hide the automation: at the top of the screen under the main menu and next to the gear icon there is a dropdown that defaults to Volume. Change that to Pitch and on MIDI clips the automation line will disappear (because ptich control isn't available on individual clip automatio...

Re: Track Lanes Shrink.. Suggestion
If I understand the suggestion, I think it would be to move or combine all those clips on various lanes for a track into the fewest lanes possible without overlapping clips. For example if you had 10 lanes each with a clip and the start of each clip was offset from the previous lane by say a measure...

Re: Sidechain only works sometimes?
Hi, Try going more basic to understand the functionality of the plugin. Don't use Kontakt because there may be variables there that are altering the situation. If the Kontakt playback is triggered by MIDI, clicking in the timeline may be positioning the cursor at a spot where playback is not coming ...

Re: Takes in Loop Mode Split Issue
i got it. You have to click at a point where a clip is already recorded on a lane and then the take will split all those clips above it within the track at the start point. As new functionality I see how it could be useful. If you want to keep the take at that point, you can just delete the sections...
