Hello John
If you haven't read this thread https://forums.acoustica.com/bbs/viewto ... =4&t=14668 I would suggest you have a look through it. The post by Zaffi gives some excellent suggestions, some maybe a little deep but the first few are very sensible.

Re: Question : Does Mixcraft use less or Slightly more RAM to load Compressed Audio Files
From an even older oldie to another - who did a lot of Peeking & Poking in the early 80's on a ZX Spectrum trying show my lads how to programme the odd game. Further back in the 70's using commands such as "Disk Open", Read Sequental", "Pip" (now known as "Copy"...

Re: Location of VST Plug-in Folders in Mixcraft Pro Studio 8
Dale I am curious.
With the time spent re-installing, resetting back to factory defaults and writing all your posts + researching on'tinernet when do you find any time to actually record & make music ?
I can only think of insomnia

Re: Does Windows 10 Update Sometimes FUBAR Your System
As someone who started on Microsoft Dos 1.0 to 6.0 and worked with every version of Windows from 1 to 10, I offer my twopenn'orth. When Windows 7 arrived I, along with millions of others thought it the best version ever and whilst I had to work on Win10 systems I resisted moving my own PC's from 7 t...

Re: Free Izotope Vocal Doubler
I got around to and actually quite impressed, adds a feeling of depth for now't I think it's very useful, I'm with Ian. They use an authorisation code to harvest email address from users who do not already have an account. Fairly standard practise, at least they are open with it. I would never let c...

Free Izotope Vocal Doubler
Don't know how it sounds but it's free from a reputable company, I might actually get to try it if I stop wasting all my time reading Dale's posts !

Re: Recommended
Quite agree Mark. I watch Warren perhaps more than any others because of his simplistic but informative style - and maybe because he's a fellow Brit !

Very similar to Izotope Mixer Tap which IMO sounds a little better.

Re: How to setup vocal rider automation?
Hi
I can confirm Vocal Rider writes automation in Mixcraft, but you do need to arm the Rider Fader - not track volume.
Click on Track Volume | Scroll down to Vocal Rider | Select "Rider Fader" | Press Arm | Press Record.

Re: Decent PC | Should I get a Soundcard?
Hi David Don't know which Yetti model you have but they do have tri capsule arrays which makes them extremely versatile in differing situations. It sounds like you haven't a model that includes headphone out and/or one which can used on USB or XLR I have used a $130 Editors Keys USB mic for many voc...

Re: File/Tag Info (Bug)
Tom I never realised the Tag info related to Wav format, they aren’t natively normally tagged as they don't, or didn't, store metadata. Last time I tried there was often a slight hiss at the end of the file so never tried again. I may well be out or date, at my age I often am so my grandchildren tel...

Re: Help! Unable to record after Windows update
Hi It could be an incomplete update, happens more often tan advertised. One easy way if you need to get recording again is to use Windows Rollback but you can only do this if you are in the 10 days since the update. Windows start Menu | Settings |Update & Security | Click on Update History, at t...
