Aww shucks . . . No side-chaining. This ultra important pro DAW feature is "almost" a deal breaker for me.
I am very, very pleased that Mixcraft is finally 64 bit and features an excellent bridging option though.

Re: Future Plugins
64 bit processing allows more . . . . * more of everything. Multi-threaded VIs (such as U-He DiVa) definitely benefit from 64 bit processing. 64 bit really shines when you use large, multi-gig sample libraries; such as many of the modern Kontakt libraries or Magix's Independence Tools sample librari...

FabFilter Pro-DS Review - Shhh the eSSes *Reviewer's Revival
Howdy all, I'm absolutely luv, luv, luvin' FabFilter Pro-DS. :D I had a blast bench-testing/reviewing it. If you're interested, you can check the review out ( and accompanying video ) here: FabFilter Pro-DS Review – Shh the eSSes! And of course, I used Mixcraft Pro Studio 6 for the review. *High 5!

Re: Deesser Plugin
Au contraire, gypsy101. Pro-DS is a highly intelligent, ultra-transparent processor. If it were a matter of simply "cutting" frequencies, then a parametric EQ would suffice. Of course, professional engineers know that this is not the case. Gypsy101, you are mistaken about its range as well...

Re: Deesser Plugin
Not free, but in this reviewer's opinion, it is the BEST DeEssing plug-in available for PC-based recording/production. FabFilter Pro-DS . Costs around $200. Amazingly smooth and transparent while remaining unparalleled in terms of quality and effectiveness. http://www.fabfilter.com/products/pro-ds-d...

Re: Scarbee Rickenbackers Bass and Ample Guitar
FYI . . Scarbee Rick Bass is really, really good, but I think that the crown goes to OrangeTreeSamples' Evolution Rick Bass. If you're looking for unparalleled, pristine, deeply sampled excellence, you owe it to yourself to give it a serious investigation. http://www.orangetreesamples.com/evolution-...

Re: Scarbee Rickenbackers Bass and Ample Guitar
Ram requirements will be rather high though . . . I've run out of memory more than once using Mixcraft. I only have 6GB on my laptop, and using jBridge, I still run out of memory . . lol. I'm in the process of benchtesting/reviewing jBridge. It's a wonderful tool for those of us who love Mixcraft 6 ...

Re: ASIO or WaveRT?
Funny, I often have great performance on my HP i3 laptop using WaveRT. Sometimes it's really convenient to NOT have to set up an audio interface - especially when I have to use iLok, midi keyboard, and a controller surface. Just my 2 cents.

Re: mixcraft 6 interface
Depending on your requirements as outlined by Gary (above), I'd definitely have a look at this . I know several Mixcraft boys use Focusrite interfaces (myself included) Highly recommended :D I absolutely agree! I wouldn't trade my Scarlett 2i4 for any other interface. I also have a PreSonus VSL440 ...

MemoryMoon ME80 Review – Real “Virtual” CS80
One of the magnificent bundled instruments included with the impressive Mixcraft Pro Studio 6 suite is MemoryMoon's faithful Yamaha CS80 emulation: ME80 . I've written an exhaustive, in-depth review of the incredible soft-synth. You're cordially invited to come over and check it out at Reviewer's Re...

Re: Will Waves Tune Native Plugin Work With Mixcraft?
Waves Tune is arguably the BEST . . . the most transparent-sounding. Unfortunately, no, it doesn't work in MixCraft. It works well in Studio One though. I also use Melodyne. Melodyne is very good; Tune is great.

Re: Mixcraft 7 suggestions?
Perhaps my suggestions are too obvious? 1. 64 bit ( With GOOD built-in bit bridging so that we can continue to use some favorite 32 bit plug-ins and VSTIs within a 64 bit DAW. ) 2. Similar to Pro Tools, a feature whereby the faders of ALL channels can be adjusted evenly at once. This is a great feat...

Mixcraft Pro Studio 6 Review – Huge Performance, Mild Price
Hi All, Bro. Charles here. :) I apologize for taking so long to get a new review written, prepared and published. Up this time on the reviewer's bench, is one of the most underrated and overlooked DAWs on the market; Acoustica's Mixcraft Pro Studio 6 . I suspect that there will be those who will not...

Re: Vocal Harmony
I own Antres Harmony FX. It's pretty good. To get the best results, use the chord mode, combined with DAW automation. It's tricky and time-consuming to do, but it yields better results. However . . . . I also own zPlane's "vielklang LE". For the money, it is heads and shoulders above its A...
