Re: Question about delay
Just spotted this thread. Have to ask. I've been told by folks here and other mixing tutorials to use send tracks for certain effects like reverb and delay as they are CPU consuming monsters. Ergo... If I set the Send Tracks (lets say send 1 delay/reverb as an example) and automate the effects send ...

Power Drum Kit 'eh? Okay someone explain to me ....
...why every time I use this new wonderful power drum kit, and then make a song around it, when I go to "save as" the machine tells me their no disk in Drive D? 1.) I save my projects to Drive E (flash drive) 2.) D drive by default is a CD/DVD Drive. 3.) This did not start happening till I...

Re: Quick question re: Mark Bliss's excellent tutorial on submix busses and send tracks
This question is going to rankle me til I figure this out. No offense to anyone, I'm just very curious. thread about side chaining. "There's many ways of creating such an effect, ranging from side chain routing, (Which, as has been mentioned- Mixcraft does not currently support natively." ...

Re: Understanding midi channels???
Cool, and thanks folks I will be trying this later today. Gotta finish an acoustic / vocals track though before anything else as it's taken way too long already to do this track. Makes sense completely and of course Ii had forgotten that I can set range on midi keyboard. Ii will let you know how thi...

Re: Understanding midi channels???
I tried a half baked work around of playing a simple drum beat on the midi controller, then "duplicating" the track and deleting out of one the drum sound I didn't want and visa versa on the other track (just simple kick and snare to work the experiment) but MC had two fatal crashes in a r...

Quick question re: Mark Bliss's excellent tutorial on submix busses and send tracks
Hey Mark!! I was reviewing your power point tutorial on send tracks and submix tracks and it occurred to me a question. When suing send tracks for effects and right clicking to set "prefader" if I create a send track for a vocal and it has compression, and I send the compression to for exa...

Re: interface bundles
Thanks for the link. Now I have a couple more questions. The focusrite has two volume controls. One for input and one for out put. Up to now I have simply run out from the computer to the speakers I'm currently using. However, one of the videos I was watching today says to plug one's monitors into t...

Understanding midi channels???
Hi Folks, Question: How would I (assuming I can at all) direct different drum samples (i.e. snare, kick, high hat) from MC drum Kit to different tracks? Not one at a time but in real time. What I want to do is physically play the different samples on my midi controller keyboard, but send the drum so...

interface bundles
Hi folks and here we go again re: interface stuff. From hours to days worth of reading, YT videos and this forum I've pretty well been sold on the "Focusrite 2i2" D/A interface. It's the right price and seems to be the most well thought out (as in design and features) interface for it's pr...

Re: Question about "Setting Master Volume."
Ian Shepherd is wonderful. I'm a huge fan of his after only a few videos and signing up for his "free" mastering tutorials. He's also afan of Graham Cocrane's "Recording Revolution which I have found extremely helpful. Another great YouTube Channel is "MixbusTV" this guy is ...

Re: Question about "Setting Master Volume."
I found both TT DR and kmeter for free (no sign up) and have more or less figured out how to use the both of them to get much better control over levels across the board. With the kmeter I click the option k-12 (which is re calibrating the unity gain of zero to be actually at -12db) and leave the TT...
