Re: 80's hard rock/ballad snare drum
The trick for creating the big "Def Leppard" style drum sound requires a few fun steps. 1. Create the snare drum track as a MIDI track. 2. Right click and select Mix To New Audio Track. 3. Right-click on the new audio clip and select Reverse. 4. Add a big Reverb sound to the track. 5. Rig...

Re: 80's hard rock/ballad snare drum
Mixcraft has a couple of preconfigured effect chains for gated snares. Have you tried those? You don't say whether you're recording a snare, using a sample, or what. The suggestions will be different depending on those things. Also, if you could provide an example of the sound you are looking for, ...

80's hard rock/ballad snare drum
What would be an easy way for a noob to get this sound? Gated or like a reverb pre delay??? How would I set up either? I don't want a cannon shot but something that has a little meat on it. It seems this was forgotten or taboo in 90's music-sad. But used sparingly should be ok.

Re: MC7-Win 10?
I like MC7 & Win 7. I don't see a reason to change any time soon!

Re: Getting back to a mono .wav
Simply:"Why is a single "mono" (semantics) .wav transformed in to a two left/right channels .wav? When it is mixed to another track?" I found nowhere in the manual that explains that this would happen. Nor a tutorial video about this happening. Maybe that's just the way it is? To...

Re: Getting back to a mono .wav
If I understand correctly.... Its still a mono track, and its just the appearance that is throwing you off. The mono input exits the channel strip split between the two output channels. If the panning isn't changed from center, it is the same audio as input, just visually expressed as the two chann...

MC7-Win 10?
I just received an upgrade offer from Windows for Win 10. About 95% of my PC use is MC7 dominated \m/. I don't use apps or most "bells & whistles" that OS's come with. It 10 MC7 compatible? TY

Re: Getting back to a mono .wav
Mix to new audio track does create a stereo track. Don 't believe there is an option to mix to mono. What you can do on your stereo track is select left or right channel only and this will give you a mono track. I think that's what I'm after. The visual of two .wavs was throwing me off. I just want...

Re: Getting back to a mono .wav
They call it stereo because of one thing. Separation. Unless all or part of the bass signal is separated from either the right or left channel, it'll be sensed, i.e., heard as a mono signal in both. I'm also not sure what you are trying to accomplish, e.g., how did you record the bass in mono? Did ...

Getting back to a mono .wav
I was recording bass parts in mono-no problem. I mixed them to another track. I didn't noticed the bass mixed to stereo on the new track at the time. I've gone on to do other things-too far to undo. When in Mix To New Audio Track-I don't see a mono or stereo choice??

Re: Saving your place in MC7
That does work in some cases if I'm still around here. But when I leave and I shut the PC down. It is a very minor gripe-maybe MC8.aj113 wrote:There's a way to do it - don't close the project, minimise it.

Saving your place in MC7
Is there a way to keep your place when saving a project and coming back to it later? The caret always is at the start point on reload/open. If I have time I will make a marker at my edit/record point so I'll know where I left off.
