Re: Does Mixcraft Have Audio To Midi conversion?

Thank you gentlemen, I confess to not knowing the inner working of this technology called ARA I think? Even though I own an older copy of Melodyne Studio and have done similar in another daw. My main use for it has been to replace a bad bass track in mono which it seemed to work well for. I have an ...

Does Mixcraft Have Audio To Midi conversion?

I think I seen this elsewhere using Melodyne or the technology behind it. A mono audio track, say a bass can be dragged into a midi track. Melodyne or similar recognizes the pitch and converts it to a midi which can the drive a virtual instrument.
Is this possible in Mixcraft?

Re: deconstucting a mp3 song file

Easy to get these functions and terminologies mixed up if just beginning to learn. Greg explained it well. It seems your goal is to have separate parts of a song or the individual takes that make up the whole. Two entirely separate discussions. flac, mp3 have nothing specifically to do with what you...

Re: deconstucting a mp3 song file

Hello, now I know it's possible to remove vocals from a recording but is it possible and how do you remove or ENHANCE specific sounds or instrument's. Mix craft pro studio 8. Thanks You can't " deconstruct" an mp3. as others have said. You can import one and play with the eq that could ma...

FYI Melda recently released plugin updates which are free. If you haven't recently updated your plugins I would recommend this.

Re: Minding Acoustica's Business

@dpatterson I could tell you're getting older because you're analyzing it :D I'm 56 so I've been around a bit probably older than you. Us older dudes we sit and talk and think it through. When I was 20 something I didn't think about it as much I just went and did it . That could be either good or ba...

Re: Minding Acoustica's Business

I would be tempted to say everything has been tried. That is probably not accurate but it feels that way to me. The main thing about online exposure is people need to see it to buy it. If your music is buried down 500 pages no one will know it's there no matter how good it is. People use search engi...

Re: Headphones for mixing

Try this site... http://graphs.headphone.com This is a very handy chart. Thank you. If listening you want it to sound good. If mixing you want it to sound accurate. If it doesn't sound accurate you might as well throw it out because the mix won't translate well to other systems. I don't recommend m...

Re: Multi-Velocity Drum Samples

I'm wondering the context of what you're doing? For instance most who are sampling sounds "multi sampled" using " multi velocity" as a library are doing that within the context of a midi controller which will play the sounds through a sample player at different velocities. These ...

Re: Guitar multi-effect + audio interface

I would check the Scarlette interface levels. The software that came with the Scarlette has controls to set the levels. If too high sound will be distorted.

Also when making the mp3 it should be a high resolution. Not 128 but 256 or higher resolution. Post example if possible.

Angel Of The Pond

So I was trying to figure out the workflow of Mixcraft when I made this. Almost entirely made from loops found in MIxcraft 8. Loops isn't generally something I work with and I feel I must credit much of this to the people responsible for Mixcraft and the loops. I recently made another classical song...

Re: USB Interface Recommendations

For those on a budget the Behringer interfaces get good reviews. This hasn't always been the case. Things have gotten much better since Behringer bought Midas awhile back. What this means is the pre amp tech from Midas is in a lot of Behringer gear. Midas preamps are highly rated. I mainly use a Pre...

Re: Mixcraft still the easiest learning curve!

A few things I really like. The tuner on each audio track is a killer idea. When you freeze a track it makes that noise and you have a frozen graphic. How could you ever top that one? I'll be honest, since I'm primarily an audio recordist instrumentalist I much prefer the real thing if possible.I us...
