I have no issues using emvoice inside mixcraft. But I agree, nifty vst. With a little sauce, it can really be convincing.

That is a nice tribute. It's great when your family involves you in music making. My Grandma paid for my piano lessons and was my biggest fan.

It is a tad cumbersome, but I believe I did that once by deleting everything else and then did a project export to midi and then just quit the app without saving.

Perhaps careful active listening to the masters is a good way to acquire some skills. Also playing in cover bands. I think that used to be called "paying your dues", LOL. I played covers in bars for years, but I have had enough of all that "drunk talk" for a while.

The real test is when you start playing midi. When a big project starts getting beyond the hardware; I increase the audio buffer size (to avoid drop-outs) to the point where the delay messes up my keyboard playing, I start mixing and combining my midi trax down to audio.
