Has someone been able to look into this? It's the only host that I own which does this.

Geist records midi onto all midi tracks that are armed. I'm talking about tracks that are assigned to other instruments.

Its basically a showstopper for me, I cant use Mixcraft.

There is also SynthMaker which in pretty damn cool as well: The GSonique plugins look like they were made in SynthMaker.

Think of it this way. midi from geist does not seem to be contained to its own track. i can have the geist track unarmed but have another instrument track armed and ready to record. when i press the record button midi from geist is captured into all midi tracks that are armed.

Some good stuff in this thread. I think a while back the Acoustica guys said that they had in mind a Drum plugin for MC6, that + drum maps for the MIDI editor would solve the problem for most people. I go between using Mixcraft & FL as well, it really depends on my mood. I'd love to do everythin...

Cheers Leigh, yeah one of the tracks under the artists Khaos / Disorder is mine, I wrote it about a year ago. I've been slowly working on a few new tracks but my time has been eaten up by work.

Actually looks like I'm wrong, for VST's if you have the plugin window in focus then you cannot use the Musical Typing keyboard.

Is there anyway that you can make it so that the typing keyboard will work whilst a VST is in focus? It makes sound design so much easier to tweak whilst you are playing.

Also I noticed that you no longer need to have the Typing Keyboard in focus for it to work, that is a huge workflow improvement. Well done

It would be awesome if we could loop record with 'takes' much like how overdubbing works now.

You can kind of already do it, I was going to build a little tool that allowed you to put your own sounds into the library but an official way would be even better.
