Re: Music Radar poll - what is your favorite DAW?
Good list. Typical list I guess. Would def bump Mixcraft up a few notches. Reaper...Tried it. It does everything they say, including make my head hurt. The rest have like 30000 pay tiers. There's like starter, lite, extra lite, super lite, not as lite, normal, better than normal..etc...etc. Maddenin...

Re: What levels are YOU mixing down to for mastering???
I use 24/48 Record/Mix around ~ -18 Master limiter to -13 LUFS leaving -1db overhead I check it on https://www.loudnesspenalty.com and look for songs to be about .5-2db over 0. Works every time for me for streaming music. As for plugins, I HAD to disable a bunch . Too many made me less creative. So ...

Re: Drum Map for Volca
Work around central. Things I did to get this to work (in case it helps anyone else): 1. Make a backup copy of the Standard drum map found in drum-maps7. 2. Delete all the entries except for these: 36 Kick Drum 1 38 Snare Drum 1 43 Low Tom 50 High Tom 1 42 Closed Hi-Hat 46 Open Hi-Hat 39 Hand Clap 7...

Drum Map for Volca
Hello all! Happy New Year! I see in the PDF how to make a new drum map from a VSTi. Is there a way to do the same with something like a Volca Beats? I can choose Standard drum set then drag around the parts I want to use and it works great but as soon as I close the program what I did resets. Def no...

Funny, I thought I was the only one that did double takes on this a few times. I actually checked it a couple times. Now I know why! lol

Re: Recording Playbeat VST
Right on! I also found this crazy plugin called MRecorder someone posted on some Acoustica thread 100 years ago that is really cool (and free). You basically stick it on a lane (it's a VST) and hit record and it makes a file that you can name and save wherever. Check it out! https://www.meldaproduct...

Re: New to DAWs-looking at Mixcraft 9-will this combo work?
Absolutely ceemuk! I have a usb interface inputting 2 synths, 1 bass guitar, and a 8 channel mixer. I have a sequencer, MIDI interface and another synth running into my PC via usb. I can run em all at once. Like 14 lanes in MC. No problem. All sorts of noise. Whether I can make it sound good or not ...

Re: Recording Playbeat VST
Thanks for replying Davey, I've always been a bit confused by how virtual instruments get recorded. Never really wrapped my head around why some VSTi's (ie Serum) will record MIDI data and play when you use your keyboard while others that use software to trigger the synth (ie Playbeat or Riffer to S...
