Re: The Sixth Single - Torn Apart
That is a very competent and polished mix and your vocalist is very talented. Not sure about the vibrato in the voice. I felt it should be a treat and used sparsely wondering where I would hear it next but that is probably just me. I seldom listen to a song all the way through but I just had to with...

Re: How Important Is Memory?
I thought the whole point of self levelling on SSDs was that the same bits were not always written to. Has anyone suffered an SSD failure yet? I have a small Toshiba SSD of unknown origin that my son took out of a non working laptop and gave to me. I use it as a project drive for both audio, photo, ...

Re: Micraft 9 Studio vs Mixcraft 10 Pro
I found out why.
For some reason Mixcraft 10 had set the program to limit frames per second. Once I unticked the box all was well. Nvidia card now in use. Only limited now by refresh rate of monitors.

Re: Video start lag
In my experience it is not just the bit rate but the file format as well. Keep the screen resolution low, say 1280 x 720 or similar and only import MP4 or WMV files. It may be the decoder but it could also be how fast can the file be refreshed in the system and GPU ram. An overall bit rate of under ...

Re: Micraft 9 Studio vs Mixcraft 10 Pro
Hi. Yes there is an internal HD 630 from my i9900K and an nvidia 3060 12GB GPU. Both versions are set to use the nvidia in Windows by selecting High performance that Mixcraft 9 seems to run better with. I did try setting both programs to Let Windows Decide which would have left the decision to Windo...

Re: Micraft 9 Studio vs Mixcraft 10 Pro
Hi. Yes I did. I changed both to 48kHz 32 bit float and It made no difference to graphics being processed between the two applications. It could be the way various vsts are programmed as the only one that consistently showed an increase in GPU activity between the two programs while showing is the O...

Micraft 9 Studio vs Mixcraft 10 Pro
Why is Mixcraft 10 Pro using my graphics card less than Mixcraft 9 Studio? Whenever I expand the timeline during playback (Length) the meters on some plugins slow down and eventually stop all together. Especially Tone booster's Barricade. https://drive.google.com/file/d/15_WVAspgU05D4bQp7ME7hYdvLMdT...

Re: Hide tracks?
Hi.
Create a child track and then instead of sending the tracks to the master volume send them to the child track. That should collapse them in the mixer and on the timeline. You then get the option to ungroup them in the far left of the mixer panel.

Re: Questions about upgrading.
Thanks for the replies.
I went ahead anyway and now I seem to have both Mixcraft 9 Recording Studio and Mixcraft 10 Pro Studio on and working on my system.
Happy days!
Will check my receipts later this morning to see what the bank paid in pounds.

Questions about upgrading.
1: If I upgrade from Recording Studio 9 to Pro Studio 10 and as I am in the UK, will I pay the same amount in pounds as listed in dollars or will my payment be adjusted? 2: Will I be able to open my current projects in the new version without problems? I am currently not using plugins that didn't co...

Re: How would you answer this question?
I have Cubase and MixCraft. There are a few differences as to what file formats you can export or import, but apples for apples, I hear no difference. There is more of a noticeable difference dependant on hardware such as DACs, microphone, headphone, and speaker choice but once you get to 24 bit exp...

Re: Recording system audio
"What you Hear" or "Stereo Mix" (depending on the systems audio) is turned off by default in both Windows 10 and 11. Try going to Windows / system / Sound, and on the right hand side should be Sound control Panel. Click to open and then open the recording tab and right click insi...
