From memory, there is a refresh or import button you have to hit in Kontakt somewhere for it to import the libraries.
You have the libraries on your computer and the path(s) set in Kontakt but there is one more step so Kontakt can import or "see" the libraries.

Re: MIDI Clock/sync issue (was Latency)
If you are going to record and play audio or midi successfully on any DAW like Mixcraft or any other, then you need to have an ASIO driver installed. You need to make sure the ASIO driver is selected in your preferences dialog in Mixcraft and the buffer settings are low 64 - 128 is a good start. You...

Re: Recording vocals in Mixcraft 8
I am not sure how you are recording your vocals but if you are relying on direct monitoring there is the mix dial which determines how much of your microphone or your DAW you will hear in your headphones. Turn it to the left and you will only hear your vocals from the plugged in mic. Turn it to the ...

Strange midi behavior in build 396
So I upgraded from build 373 to 390 and there was some crashing when using the piano roll, other users reported it as well. This was logged to be fixed in the next build and apparently was, because I have now installed 396 and the crashing that was in 390 has gone away. It's back to super stable aga...

Re: Switched to an nVidia card and performance went through the roof
Hey, shouldn't you be popping champagne bottles and dancing in the streets that I'm finally able to run the 64-bit build? Yes, i noticed that and was going to say something but didn't want to be the cause of another mega thread! I've also learned to be humble in victory......sometimes. ...

Re: Switched to an nVidia card and performance went through the roof
Also, it's been a golden rule in video editing that you only ever install the windows drivers of graphics cards, never all that catalyst control center or nvidia control panel stuff.
I lot of my headaches went away after following that rule. I do the same with DAW's.

Re: Switched to an nVidia card and performance went through the roof
Erik, if you are using the embeded GPU in the CPU with those intel chips, they are pretty good. I was going to get a card, but I found the the internal one on my i5 was fine, it can run 3 monitors, yours should be able to as well. I was surprised because I thought it would only run one but I found I...

Re: Been producing for 6 months and looking for honest feedback!
Also, quantization on EDM is fine for bass and drums like bass drum and snare (basic beat) and even for stabbing synths but when you look at drum rolls the quantized drum roll is old hat now, needs to be more realistic. Also, instruments like piano, guitar and any chordal melody or melodic phrase ne...

Re: Been producing for 6 months and looking for honest feedback!
I've not yet invested in studio monitors... I use Audio Technica M50x headphones. I know its not recommended to mix on headphones but its my only option right now. Thank you for the feedback tho, I will work on it! This makes sense, these are quite bass heavy headphones, the sound on these pr...

Re: Been producing for 6 months and looking for honest feedback!
What monitors are you using to produce this with? I would suspect that you are using bass heavy monitors because a lot of the sounds appear to be bass thin. You might want to turn the bass down a bit on whatever it is you are using to mix with. This will reveal the sounds to be a bit more flat, thin...

Re: Linux version!
Isn't the expectation of Linux users that the software is open source and free? Yes, this was the expectation by industry of the linux community, there are those that moan whenever they have to pay anything at all. But now many hover between windows and linux as well, hoping to get away from window...

Re: Regarding Midi Note Editing
My god, they really took an axe to the piano roll in 390. I am just hoping they can get it back to the performance of build 373. I've been battering 373 piano roll with a lot of work lately and it just will not break. Doing the same thing with 390 breaks it in about 3 minutes and then constant crash...

Re: Linux version!
Have to agree with this, a linux version would be awesome. There's definitely a market here, Ardour is beyond hideous. I've used linux solely on my laptop for internet use and basic office and it's fine for that. I use windows on the desktop because of audio, video and photography programs. I can sw...

Re: Odd Midi behaviour Mixcraft 8 64bit 390
Just to confirm that I rolled back to the 373 version and all the problems have gone away. I can edit freely in the piano roll again without crashing or odd things happening. It might be a week before I can download another copy of 390, so I will have to wait until then to post further regarding this.
