ASIO settings?
Hi, MC5 is refusing to load ASIO drivers for M-Audio USB FastTrack interface. As you can see the recording and playback settings are blanked out: http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p32/r_i_c_2007/MC5ASIO.jpg it only seems to load WAVE drivers for FastTrack? http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p32/r_i...

Yes there are many things which can cause crackling - excess volume being another factor. I tend to under-record if anything, then carefully adjust volumes in MixCraft. I have to admit it is a mystery to me how the MC5 demonstration tracks never clip-crackled on being recorded, some of those audio g...

I'm getting a similar problem. I've been overdubbing my brother's song that is a high bitrate MP3, to which I've added some compression with the Classic Compressor to level down some peaks. I go through each individual track and there is no crackle (distortion), and when I switch the other tracks o...

12 hours later . . .
12 hours later and the new system has finished doing its 'windows updates' thing... system figures now read: my project stopped ~ MixCraft: 1-4%; System: around 6% my project playing ~ MC 15-48%; System: 20-58% Pressurize stopped ~ MC: 26-40%; Syst: 30-50% Pressurize playing ~ MC: 64-92%; Syst: 82-1...

Thanks OzRob: this is weird, i just did a clean install so background programs should be at their minimum. think i'll leave it to settle down and run the demo again. what's freaking me is the 100% system load when nothing appears to be going down :-o this old P4 runs a 2.67 GHz processor but it is s...

System load?
Hi recently did a clean install on my P4 and re-downloaded MC5. When i played the demo 'Blood Pressurize' the average load reading was MixCraft 80% System 100%. When I played back one of my mixes it was MC 50% System 90%. Less tracks? But when there was no music playing MixCraft was at 0% while Syst...

multiple tracking monitor?
hi, MC multitracks are cool but what happens when you get over half a dozen tracks into a composition but still need to watch each of them similtaneously in playback - scrolling means you lose sight of individual tracks - is there a way to squeeze the width of tracks so you can see more all at once ...

mixcraft will crackle if the volume is too high or the bass too boomy at source mc will also crackle if the latency is set wrong - associated with this might be the interface you are using, have you checked with the manufacturer's web site that you are running the latest driver? the best settings fo...

angelina 1.1
downloaded at http://www.geardownload.com/multimedia/angelina-download.html this is a really nice VST addition - you have to be careful with shifting the pitch in MC5 though or you create a micky mouse voice effect, but there seem to be almost infinite things you can do with the voice to shape it th...

Thanks Greg, i've saved that info!Acoustica Greg wrote:Hi,
Install it, unzip it or whatever to your VST folder. If your computer didn't have a default VST folder, Mixcraft may have created one here: C:\Program Files\VST\
You can also add a VST folder to search in Mixcraft's Effects preferences.
