A few years ago EWQL broke the word builder on Symphonic Choirs for quite a few DAWs with one of their 'improvements'. This may be a similar issue. Suggest you file a support ticket with Acoustica.

As a further FYI, DP has all the keys the same size as the piano roll notes as suggested in the OP and I have found this very hard to get used to for some reason. I prefer the actual keyboard 'look' in Mixcraft.

We need a little more info. Could you post your system specs, including HD speed(s). Also does it happen on Audio, MIDI? How many tracks? What fx? RAM used (from Task Manager)?

Can't speak for Ian, but that wouldn't work for me in my MIDI orchestral stuff. I fooled with it (time stretch) awhile back and results were not very pleasing When I have had to fit an existing audio track into a MIDI composition is where it works great for me, but that's pretty much off topic.
