Re: Hollywood Choirs Plugin Question
A few years ago EWQL broke the word builder on Symphonic Choirs for quite a few DAWs with one of their 'improvements'. This may be a similar issue. Suggest you file a support ticket with Acoustica.

Re: Kontakt 5 Player Routing to Mixcraft
I just watched the walk-through video. The function is almost identical to NI's West Africa. You program the internal sequencer in the instrument and the sequence is activated by keyswitches (colour keys on the Kontakt keyboard). To get this to record in Mixcraft you either need to draw the keyswitc...

Re: Kontakt 5 Player Routing to Mixcraft
Hi, are you using Kontakt as 'stand alone', or as a vst? In other words did you load the instrument outside of Mixcraft or using the little keyboard icon in a Mixcraft track? I don't have this particular instrument, but, after watching a couple of videos, it appears similar to NI's West Africa which...

Re: Keys Not The Same Width In Sound Tab
As a further FYI, DP has all the keys the same size as the piano roll notes as suggested in the OP and I have found this very hard to get used to for some reason. I prefer the actual keyboard 'look' in Mixcraft.

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
The piano roll is probably the weakest link in the Mixcraft chain. The actual UI is fine, but, in order to join the 21st Century in MIDI editing, it is drastically in need of: 1. An editing toolbox for CC#s (AND Host automations) allowing the user to draw at the very least lines and curves, preferab...

Re: Pops, clicks
We need a little more info. Could you post your system specs, including HD speed(s). Also does it happen on Audio, MIDI? How many tracks? What fx? RAM used (from Task Manager)?

Re: Chromatic Harmonica - Chris Hein
I run Kontakt 5.2 right now. I can verify it works in Mixcraft 8 as I use it every day. The library is run from inside Kontakt so if Kontakt runs the library will run (see my videos on my YouTube channel about Kontakt in Mixcraft). I looked up the library on the dev's page and it will only run on th...

Re: Chromatic Harmonica - Chris Hein
I have his complete woodwinds and they work fine. The harmonica is an older library so should also.

Re: Track's instrument setting not working
So basically what I'm getting is you want to use the change instrument (little piano) button on a track to influence other future tracks you may load. Right?

Re: Track's instrument setting not working
Also you can duplicate an existing track and just delete any clips you don't want. You have your instrument all configured plus any fx you had in the original track. Conversely (and off topic) I sometimes duplicate the track and change the instrument for added texture. This of course may require adj...

Re: Default installation
In short, no other than keeping track of what's where. I have several drives and my setup is C: OS, D: Mixcraft program and projects, and Z: Mixcraft libraries. Samples libraries are scattered across F, G, H, N and Z. The only issue I have had is in replacing library drives you must taken care to us...

Re: Please reduce minimum BPM from 40 to 0.1
Can't speak for Ian, but that wouldn't work for me in my MIDI orchestral stuff. I fooled with it (time stretch) awhile back and results were not very pleasing When I have had to fit an existing audio track into a MIDI composition is where it works great for me, but that's pretty much off topic.

Re: Please reduce minimum BPM from 40 to 0.1
+1, but is there any existing DAW that goes below 20 BPM? I do have a work around, but it's a pain. When you reach 40bpm in quarter notes, switch to eighths at 80bpm and then when that is at 40 to 16ths, etc. While it works, it messes with my head for some reason. :| Though I've never used it, it sh...
