Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
Even if the MIDI file had 25 tracks? You'd still want them all to be played by the instrument in the currently selected track? In an earlier post, I wrote: (1) Loops with multiple channels aren't all that common, unless they are exported from, for example, a notation program. You wouldn't need a br...

Re: Mixcraft 7 issues
The on-board computer sound card is not likely to support what you need to do, so you probably need an Audio Interface. If you're on a budget, something like the Behringer U-Phoria UMC404HD will get you 4 inputs and MIDI without breaking the bank. If you have a little more to spend, the Focusrite S...

Re: Cant find key of Em
The discussion above took place almost two years ago. I'm resurrecting it to ask whether I understand the practical result. It appears that if your song is in a minor key, you should tell Mixcraft that it is in the relative major key. Ne c'est pas?

If you are running McAfee Antivirus, uninstall it and use a different antivirus program. See this recent thread:

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
I came from Traction Waveform, and they have the feature. Yeah I loved it and hated it, because it used the systems default soundcard, so every thing was a piano sound. Like Greg says, it was exactly like using the Windows media player to audition sounds. I don't know, maybe if you had a special de...

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
... Mixcraft 8 does have a file browser that allows you to browse MIDI files, but there's no special preview function, because that would require the MIDI data to be interpreted, and how it's interpreted would make a huge difference. Remember that MIDI files can contain multiple tracks, so that rea...

Re: MIDI clip management
This has already been mentioned several times, but I would like to add my vote. For my desired workflow, I need a MIDI clip librarian. Or at least a file system browser with MIDI preview (either the default piano sound or a drop-down menu of sounds). ... Actually, the preview function should use th...

Re: Routing MIDI data internally
... You can currently route MIDI from one virtual instrument to another, you can route MIDI from a track to an effect, and you can route MIDI from one track to another, but the feature request would be to record the MIDI output of a plugin. ... Yes, I should have written "record the MIDI outpu...

Controlling plugins from the channel strip
I would like to be able to adjust a handful of selected plugin parameters from the mixer channel strip, that is, without having to open the plugin interface. Users could be given the option to have these controls instead of the built-in Hi-Med-Lo EQ. If each were concentric, you could get six contin...

Routing MIDI data internally
From various threads in this forum, it appears that a number of users would appreciate being able to route the MIDI output from one track to another instrument track, without having to go through a loop back utility (e.g. Loop MIDI).

DLL's that are not VST's
I own almost all of the Izotope plugins. Each of them consists of 2 .dll files (I'm on Windows), only one of which is actually the VST. Every time Mixcraft 8 starts up, it spends 12 or 13 seconds re-scanning (and re-rejecting) the .dll files that are not actually plugins. Other DAWs don't appear to ...

Re: Using Mixcraft 7 Virtual Instruments In Other DAWs
There are a couple of plugins that only work in Mixcraft. These include Glass Viper, Fusion Field and Studio Devil Virtual Bass Amp, and maybe others I didn't find. All the rest can be copied to the location(s) used by other DAWs. If Mixcraft uses the same other locations, then move them rather than...

That's exactly what I noticed. Mixcraft's built in high band appears to be fixed somewhere around 7K or so.Mark Bliss wrote:Hi Mick,
