Re: Cannot select ASIO interface any more
Pity. I'm not familiar with Firewire, so forgive me if it doesn't make sense: -does Windows see the interface (device manager)? -does it still work with stuff like mediaplayers? -does resetting it help? (from within the Mixcraft program folder: "Reset Audio To Factory Defaults") You could ...
Re: HELP!!!
Did you also save the project? Why did you "have to" reboot the laptop?

Re: problem with the Notes Chooser in the Step Sequencer
Hey Mick, Thanks for trying. I'm not sure if you did the same - you seem to have a different setup. For instance, the piano roll is irrelevant here. And some things are unclear: "I can click the little piano thingy", "When the step view is already open it does not respond to opening i...

Re: Cannot select ASIO interface any more
Try to run MC as an admin once, and see what happens. However, it can lead to many unforeseen things to copy programs to another disk and run them from there (assigning the same drive letter is not always enough, and some software may run flawless, other software not at all). Some manufacturers tack...

Re: Changing project tempo and key to match recorded audio
Hey man, Don't ever let my answers determine your own ability to communicate... There's one thing i didn't understand. You asked for a way "to just temporarily turn off the mechanism that stretches/pitch shifts the audio" and here's a bit of confusion. Such a feature leads more or l...

problem with the Notes Chooser in the Step Sequencer
It seems that after using the Notes Chooser in the Step Sequencer you cannot use it again without having to restart Mixcraft, and not all settings are saved. Steps: make a new project with 1 instrument track. I left it with the default instrument: Acoustic Piano from Acoustica Instruments, but it di...

Re: Changing project tempo and key to match recorded audio
I'm surprised that there's no way to just temporarily turn off the mechanism that stretches/pitch shifts the audio Well... There is, sort of. It's when you record the way you did. :P You could of course try to set the correct project tempo and then click on each clip to set "use project tempo&...

Re: Changing project tempo and key to match recorded audio
Maybe the easiest/most reliable way is to add all the recordings to the library and import them into a new project that has the right settings.

Re: Transposing and Changing Tempo of audio files
Without using the Sound Tab, is it possible to change the tempo of a looped section of an audio file (up or down) while remaining in the Main Clip Grid? Well, yes, but probably not the way you mean or want it. You can always change the tempo by clicking on the bpm section in the transport bar. But ...

Re: Project Tempo
What if you click "use project tempo" on the clip's sound tab (after you changed the project tempo)?

Re: Transposing and Changing Tempo of audio files
This can be done on the sound tab. See this chapter in the online manual for the details.
Some sounds are of course more prone to distorting than others, so it's hard to say if this does exactly what you want it to.

Re: M7 and Kontakt channels problem
Szia, Check this: open the instrument selection panel for Kontakt (the piano roll on the track), click "show details" if needed, then "config" in the Outputs column: kontakt channel setup.jpg (Note: Kontakt 16 out: 1 stereo channel = 2 channels So i have 11 tracks in Mixcraft: 5 ...

Re: Mix does not obey Use Selection
Eriks point about repeated rendering and its possible effects is slightly different. Absolutely. I didn't post that article as some sort of counterargument, but rather as an interesting view that touches on the subject. In fact, i think that minimizing the number of renders is good practise.
