Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
I don't see or know how to put MIDI loops (patterns) into the library--you have to use the menu/import, file by file. You can drag and drop multiple midi (or audio) files directly from Windows Explorer into Mixcraft. Using the space bar for playback and similar shortkeys (like R for recording) just...

Re: Mix does not obey Use Selection
It's a feature that allows us to mix down only sections of a piece if we want. For instance, I'm using it on this project to cut off the count-in at the beginning of the song. One problem I have with your workaround is that it's yet another trip through the CODECS and other stuff inside Mixcraft. E...

But, if you have a 2nd monitor, you can put it there.

Re: Latency using exclusive mode
If you can use ASIO, you're probably better off. For instance, my interface supports 24-bit recording, but only with ASIO. Otherwise, i'd first check if your recording and playback devices still allow exclusive mode: (Control Panel-->Sound) sound properties exclusive mode.jpg Make sure that these de...

Re: Trouble RE-registering my Mixcraft 6
Do a windows search for the exact file name - probably "waveslib 7.1.dll" (without the quotes). Make sure you search on all disks. Where do you find it (folder names+paths)? Open Mixcraft-->preferences-->Plug-ins-->Edit VST/VSTi Folders What are the folders that are there (including their ...

Re: Mix does not obey Use Selection
I probably don't understand the reason for this part, so maybe the following makes no sense. But i'd mix down the entire song to a wav without fades, import that wav and only then i'd do a fade out.Starship Krupa wrote:When I make the pre-mixdown selection (...)

Re: Restoring previous version of song
The file was blank, so I didn't worry about it, and proceeded to go to the song I wanted to open. You didn't worry, but what did you do? (I mean: the steps you took.) You proceeded to another song; again, what did you do? (the steps you took) If you make backups, which you should, then Crazy6string...

Re: Possible to select multiple ranges on one instrument track?
Most midi keyboards allow you to set up "zones"; check your keyboard's manual for this. Also, in the instrument selection panel you can set the range per instrument. And since you can have multiple instances of an instrument, the following might do what you're after: select midi kb ranges....

First, go to the preferences to tell MC to allow more than 1 recording input:
Then, click the arrow next to the 'arm' button to select the left/right channel:

Does it make a difference to use the Report Post for these threads? Or could we just as well ignore them?

Re: How do I do this?
Completely understand. I have in fact suggested this for MC 7. Loop markers should only determine what to loop, not prevent playback in the area outside of it. My workaround is to activate Loop Mode after the playback indicator is 'in' the area, but that's not always possible. I also wish the loop b...

Re: Time stretch - tempo question
This clip plays at 60 bpm, but I want it to go 120 bpm Then I tell them to pick a % from the drop down menu It's totally possible to do it this way, but indeed confusing. Time stretching is about the duration , and bpm is about the tempo . Different concepts. So your example refers to the tempo, yo...

Re: Time stretch - tempo question
If you stretch something by 50% it becomes longer Stretching is just a word that refers to the process of time stretching, which can go either way. If you have it refer strictly to the meaning it has in the dictionary, sure, it doesn't make sense anymore. (Although, the possibility to use 50% as we...

Re: Time stretch - tempo question
The percentage refers to the clip size. The clip is what you refer to as 'track' (to avoid confusion). If your clip is 4 bars and you time stretch it by 50%, the clip's size becomes 2 bars.
You can instead click "use project tempo" and then you can alter the bpm directly.
