Try a new/different Midi cable to be on the safe side ..
If that doesn't solve the issue, do you have an alternative USB controller/keyboard you can try. My Alesis Q49 USB socket soon got warn/damaged after a short time which resulted in peculiar activity

Midi Clock Sync

From what you've said Marc, you could use a normalizer on the vocals but you haven't linked to the song to hear the problem

Most, if not, all AV programs can be scheduled to do the major scanning when it suits you, (3am works for me as I'm never recording at that time in the morning). I leave my AV software running all the time and if I ever have any issues while recording, that is the first place I look to sort it out. ...
