Re: Please critique my new song
M@rkus. I would strongly suggest turning that guitar down a bit, as well as rolling off its lower mids and bass because it's competing with the voice, obscuring the lyrics, and muddying the whole production. I might also suggest that you could give the strings more width by moving it further to one...

Re: Please critique my new song
Best Trevlyns! I hope you don´t mind if I post a song here in the similar jazzy style as yours. I used brushes and panned the strings just a little left/right. Yes, I know it sometimes can get crowded in the center, but I think it can work to put both vocals and strings in the center if you are care...

Re: Please critique my new song
Really nice voice and good arrengement! A few suggestions though. Perhaps you could have centered the strings, and just panned them 7-8 % left and right? But that might just be a matter of oppinion. Did you use brushes on the drums? If not, perhaps you could get an even smoother sound with brushes? ...

Losing audio when mixing down!
When I mix down to mp 3, I lose audio off and on. This doesn´t happen when I mix down to wav. In this case it only concerns my three vocal tracks, not the other 16 tracks. So I froze the three vocal tracks and mixed down to mp 3 again, with the same result... Any suggestions to what the cause might ...

Re: Synth crasches!
Thanks a lot for your answer! I will definetly check out what programs might run in the background! Yes, I alwast disconnect yhe internet connection before I use mc6. My computor is a laptop (pc) called MSI CR 500. I´ve got a load of other stuff on it, because I never ment it to be a music compuor. ...

Synth crasches!
A new phenonema appeared today, my vst-synths started to crasch. They also seemed to use a lot of system power (see picture).
This has never happened before! Do theese two specific synths recuire extremely much of the computor? (Synth-Lead-Hard Distortion lead, and Glurpy lead).

Add time bars in the beginning of a song?
Hi!
I realized that I wanted to add a piece of music before my actual song starts. Is it possible to add time bars in the beginning of a song? If so, how do I go about it?

Progressively faster tempo?
I wonder if there is a way to progressively speeding up the metronome in the beginning of a song?
I want to start the song very slow, and gradually speeding up the tempo over a period of, lets say, 20 seconds!

Yes, you can do that with track markers. Right-click on the timeline that runs across the top of Mixcraft's screen to add markers and then edit the tempo option.

Change tempo within a song
This question has probably been asked (and answered) before, so I´m sorry for repeating this, but I could not find the question here.
So, what do I do if I need to change tempo two or three times within the same song, shifting between 80 and 100 bpm? Is it possible?

Re: Mixcraft 7 suggestions?
I have recorded my own music for 35 years now, but never on a computor before, so this is my first contact with computorized recordings. I have used MC for a month now, and I only master about 20% of its capacity, but I can still record music with good results. I really like the simplicity with MC, ...

Re: Mixcraft 6 won´t mix down!
Hi, You could also just un-check it. The next time Mixcraft freezes when you quit, send us your mixcraft-log.txt file, which is located in this folder: %appdata%\Acoustica\Mixcraft Another way to find it is to click on the Windows Start Menu, select All Programs, then Acoustica Mixcraft 6 (or 5) an...
