Re: What are all the different avenues people go down to make some money with their music?

Share your music where you can, you never know, someone may pick up on it and want to pay to use it for a soundtrack or an elevator or even to annoy people waiting on the phone lol. I have seen it in the photography industry and occasionally it works. The most im...

Re: Back and forth with a Yamha PSR 970
I am looking at the arranger keyboards because I am looking mostly for that "quick idea" as you said. Does it make sense to you or anybody else knowledgeable to go with an inexpensive arranger (Yamaha E443) as kind of a "proof of concept" of whether the arrangers will be useful....

Re: Back and forth with a Yamha PSR 970
Hi Tiger, as far as I can tell, Mixcraft does recognise those messages and Program Change messages from the S970 but I don't think there's anyway (yet) to input NPRN's or SYSex from the computer. I love it John.
I can hear all the hard work you've put into this. the mix sounds very clear, maybe a few tweaks here and there to add a little more light and shade but it works for me

Re: computer suggestions
If you're technically minded, it would be cheaper to buy the components separate and do a self build. That way you would know the quality of each component used. Do some pricing research and see what you could put together ;) Many manufactured builds use cheaper components to keep the price looking ...

Re: unsupported CODEC AGAIN!!!!
The trouble is, files like .mpg, .avi etc. are just a wrapper containing an audio file and video file and it depends very much on how these are sampled as there are endless variations. One thing that has worked for me in the past is, try changing the extension from .mpg to .avi and see if that works...

Hi capnjim & welcome.
If it's an intermittent problem, check to see what programs you have running. Things like antivirus programs etc may be scanning and slowing your system down .. Check out the video and comments here ... http://forums.acoustica.com/bbs/viewtop ... =4&t=14668
