Re: Melodyne Info
I have Studio 4 and upgraded to studio 5, told at install could only have 4 or 5, not both. Quite happy with that, why do I want 4 when 5 is so much better. Much more control in the engine for formants, character, playback synth, and Greg I have to disagree about, only intended for small corrections...

IF it's only a few few frames why not cut out those frames entirely, should only loose a fraction of a second in the video

Re: Mic volume very low
Hi Paul What you describe sounds rather strange to me. Are you sure the mic you bought is not a USB condenser mic ? Does the 3.5mm male have standard 3 rings or 4 rings ? If so would need to connect directly into your laptop via usb, that is where it not only gets the input signal, but also gets low...

Thank you Nathan, no matter how long we use Mixcraft there's always a little snippet in your videos that is either forgotten or never realised.

Re: Is it possible to listen to a mix on headphones and speakers at the same time?
Most systems now have the option to split the out of front & rear jacks to either same or different, and with Bluetooth it is also possible to have two outputs, at least mine has.

Re: Mixcraft 9 melodyne issue
Hi
Briefly as I'm not at a computer click on the Algorithm drop down and make sure you have the correct one set so the detection process can work. Don't know what material your track is could be melodic or polyphonic, if unsure turn the setting to Auto

Re: monitor sound is being recorded into acoustic guitar recording via its cable. What could be the cause?
If the guitar is via a cable then you must have either a Magnetic or Piezo transducer. Unlikely a Piezo would but if it's a magnetic pickup that could well be grabbing sound from the speakers.

Re: Computer Question
Hi Trevor
Ram is ridiculously cheap these days, you can get 8gb Vengeance ddr4 for £40 or ddr3 for around £35. In the 1980s 128Kb for my North Star was almost that price and was certainly out of my reach in those days.
Stress and desperation is more expensive.

Re: What are you using for a filter plugin?
Hi Nathan
I'm with Mark on Nova, it's extremely versatile & use it regularly these days instead of Ozone 9 eq which does everything, but don't always want everything.
Might have had a look at RAZ filterbox but guess is only 32bit.

Re: Pick Up The Pieces - original song
Lovely listen Nicki, the character of the sound fits perfectly to the words, and I think the acoustic solo is dead right for the song. Enjoy looking at your recording environment with the sloping ceilings, looks just like mine only much more tidy, and cleaner; and, us Yorkshire folk are not only tig...

Re: Can anyone reccomend a Bass VST that works on Mixcraft 9?
I would use any decent bass vsti and then stick the Ampeg V-4B plugin onto effects but the SVT-VR is on special right now, has a little more bite at aroubnd 325hz than the V-4B but by blending CH1 & CH2 I'm sure will be close to the thickness you're after. The V-4B is the dog Bxxxxxks for that g...
