Re: Automatic save with a difference?
And it shouldn't need to back up any of the wav files since they are what they are, and the project records changes that I make to the wav files in the project, unless I'm doing a destructive edit to the file. But, again, destructive edits should be saved immediately, so, again, I never lose anythin...

Re: Automatic save with a difference?
regarding the recorded vocal track.... Isn't the wave file from the recording automatically saved every time you record? So perhaps you might have lost any edits you made to the track in the project, but the recorded track should still exist on your hard drive? I would hope that's how saving works. ...

Re: Sound engine restart before mixdown?
I was just suggesting a solution you could use till you figure out what's really going on.
In the meantime, of course you do. Just take the finished mix back into Mixcraft and cut it.
You could even cut it in Microsoft Movie Maker if you had too.
I do it all the time in Audacity, too.

Re: Sound engine restart before mixdown?
Can you shift the song forward so you can play the synth a little before the part you want, mixdown, then chop that little starting bit off as a post mixdown process?
I know workarounds stink, but, could at least work till you figure out what's going on.

Re: Mixcraft 7 suggestions?
- Fix the clip merge function (both audio and MIDI). This sometimes leaves out portions, especially if there are several clips (it then stops at the end of the first one) - Fix/perfect the "mix to new audi track function. It sometimes ends the clip while there is still a tail of sound left, es...

Re: Mixcraft 7 suggestions?
The Metronome: As I noted in the remote app suggestions thread, I would like to control this from the remote app. the whole concept of how the metronome button is currently implemented confuses me. Why force the user to click at least twice every time they turn on the metronome? I think the metronom...

Re: Remote App improvement suggestions
Speaking of the metronome, and I'll repeat this in the Mixcraft 7 suggestions.... The metronome button should be a toggle only, and the user should have another button on the main interface that controls all the actions of the toggle, including BPM, Key, Count In Measures and in what modes the toggl...

Remote App improvement suggestions
I haven't seen this thread yet, so here goes....
I would like to be able to set up and toggle the metronome from the app, including setting bpm and even key (why is that separate from the metronome toggle window anyway?)

Re: Mixcraft 7 suggestions?
Which brings me to my next suggestion. Currently the interface is split up into: Menu bar Track Window Details Window I'd like to see a 3rd window added, an "fx" window. You can still have individual popout fx windows if you want, but I'd love to see an undockable window that is linked to ...

Re: Mixcraft 7 suggestions?
An improved Mixer/console would be fantastic: - Maybe to collaborate with specialists in console emulation like sknote (stripbus) to choose in the mixcraft mixer to have console behavings. - a good HP and LP Filter on each channel in the mixer would be so helpful to clean up songs before mixing. - ...

Re: Wave file storage path
...If you enter a project name, a folder will be created in your Mixcraft Projects folder and that's where the project's files will go... Which is why you should create your own folder first. If you don't, the project file will be placed where MC wants to put it, instead of you choosing where to pu...

Re: Oops! I deleted a default effect chain :(
So there's no file I can just replace? :( like 0F484FDB-31C9-46C1-ADA2-818956C5E1FD.presets or something :) BTW, it's really awesome that a company representative is involved in these forums as much as you are Greg. Thank you. Not many companies have guts like that. I also appreciate the customer ba...

Oops! I deleted a default effect chain :(
Is there any way to get it back? I didn't realize that removing the effect chain would remove it from the whole system. I thought I was just removing the effects added by the effect chain. I liked that effect chain (Acoustic Guitar, Wide). Is there a default file I can restore that will restore the ...
