Re: Mastering in Mixcraft.
My 2 cents... I master in Mixcraft (limiting, effects, etc.) then open the output in Audacity. That way I can see what is really going on. Audacity allows me to put in Peak Limiting (hard limit) and sometimes that will "make it louder." (...allows me to "clip" the peaks independe...

Re: Mixcraft Pro Audio 7 -Cannot get dedicated computer to cooperate with me
For what it's worth....I have an ancient M-Audio Delta 66 for analog input. (PCI card) My PC runs fine with Win10 and USB inputs from the guitar amp (Fender Mustang and Roland UM-ONE). I have to agree with the previous post about checking for the most recent drivers. As a side note, I have noticed w...

Re: Win 10 Anniversary update
I have a dedicated Mixcraft PC that is not connected to the internet. Air-Gapped, I guess you would call it. Have the Anniversary Edition (at least all updates and including that). I have to physically connect my PC to get updates and what-not. Since there is some data gathering by MS, I just choose...

Re: Biting the Windows 10 bullet
I have been using Win 10 with Mixcraft 7 since Win10 was available. No problems for me. One thing I do is have a PC that is dedicated to Mixcraft and it does not get any updates unless I physically connect it (Air-Gapped, I guess). No problems with my AMD A10 processor. I personally do not like MS g...

Re: Windows 10 and USB interfaces
Well, maybe I'm just lucky !!! ;-) I have never had good luck (low latency and low CPU usage) using any ASIO driver. I may have a bum chipset that doesn't work well....it is an older AMD Athlon X2, but in the Core Audio mode, it works great !!! I do have to say that this recording PC does have a Fen...

Windows 10 and USB interfaces
Here is my experience... Are you using Win10 and a USB Audio Interface? If so, it does get messed-up. It could be the never-ending updates from Microsoft. It also could be any Virus Scan software that is "looking" at any open files (like the huge WAV files from a mix). My Mixcraft PC does ...

Re: Buying a New Interface
Please...give more info.... Have you had a good experience with Focusrite and/or Presounus with MixCraft? Spill the beans... I'm looking to upgrade an old M-Audio Delta 66 PCI card as it really isn't supported any more. Should I go with Thunderbolt Interface (obviously, I'd have to get an expansion ...

Re: Totally new to PC recording..sort of...
I'm not new to Mixcraft (had since 6, so...) and upgraded to MC 7 (x64) using an Athlon X2 3.0 GHz with 12MB RAM with built in graphics and 500GB 5200rpm drive on Win7 x64 SP1. This PC has worked well for me as it is not connected to anything...no Wifi, no internet, etc. I did this because it was an...

Re: Optimize your PC for Mixcraft!
Well, here's my "deal" I figure that programmers make programs that are designed for a standard, like Win7 SP1. Now, when updates come to SP1, they are trying to fix security holes. I won't have any of those since I won't be connected to the outside world. I guess what I'm asking is a deep...

Re: Optimize your PC for Mixcraft!
$1024K Question... First off, I'm a Newbie to please be sure to point out every infraction I make !!! I am about to build a stand alone Win 7 x64 computer that will be dedicated to running Mixcraft. It will not be connected to the Internet or any other network. Now...let's hear all the opinio...
