Re: I don't like it

I love it! Much improved in every way. Has a nice clean look and better contrast. I can read it much easier. :)

Re: Feature Requests

Whenever I see feature requests I get nervous. I don't want them turning it into Sonar or something.

Re: 32 bit vs 64 bit MX7

And for another point of view..... I am also running an i5 machine with 8 gigs of RAM. OS is Windows 8.1 I am running MC7 pro. When 7 came out I decided to go 100% 64 bit. So it is great news that the most recent build release included 64 bit pianissimo, and updated some other plugs to 64 bit. The p...

Attention Acoustica!

Here's a situation that I think you should know about. Saw Mixcraft 7 descriptions on Sweetwater's website today, and they are incorrect. Mixcraft Home Studio 7 is listed as having all of the features of Mixcraft 7, i.e. unlimited tracks, 15 vsti's, etc. And Mixcraft 7 Pro Studio lists support for D...

Re: Audio Interface Or Mixer Or Both?

I got a Scarlett 18i20 a couple of months ago. Very pleased so far. With interfaces, driver stability is everything, and the 18i20 drivers have been around long enough to be proven. Sometimes when a product is brand new, (like the above mentioned Tascam) it takes a while to get driver wrinkles irone...

Licensing question

My son and I, (same household) often collaborate on projects, sometimes using his laptop, and often then transferring to my bigger desktop set-up for some things. We have previously done this with Cakewalk products, but I now wish to switch everything exclusively to Mixcraft 7. The question is.........

32 bit and 64 bit compatibility?

This is perhaps a simple question, but I am new to 64 bit. Can a file started in Mixcraft 7 32 bit on one machine be opened and used in Mixcraft 64 bit on another machine? And visa-versa?

Re: Mixer advice needed

Agreed Mark. I am not aware of any usb mixers that have more than a stereo out. A few firewire units do, but they are either cheap in quality, or very expensive. I think the original poster wants a multi-channel interface but doesn't know it yet. We've all been there. :)

Re: Mixer advice needed

It sounds like you want a device that will input several discrete channels into your computer simultaneously. If you are married to the idea of a "mixer" format, then most of the options will be firewire instead of usb. I think what you are actually looking for is a usb multi-channel inter...

Enable/disable vst effects

Is there a way to disable all plug-ins within a project with one button? (and then re-enable them) If not, then I guess consider this a feature request. This seems to be the day for feature requests. Also thanks Acoustica guys! I needed support on two occasions recently, and the response was lightni...

MC7 & Pianissimo and plug-in troubles

I have Mixcraft 7 Pro Studio, updated to build 251, running on a Windows XP machine. Generally I love this software, but have discovered some difficulty with Pianissimo. Several notes will not play using my midi keyboard (Alesis Q49). This only happens in MC7. The stand-alone version works fine, and...

Re: Pianissimo troubles in MC7

Just to cover all bases, I swapped Pianissimo back and forth with other synths in a new project with no problems. All functionality is normal in new projects. The existing projects that it won't work in are old, started in MC6, played with in the various MC7 beta versions, and now being opened in a ...

Re: Pianissimo troubles in MC7

New projects seem ok. I just successfully loaded it 4 times into a new project. Will not load sample data in existing projects, or allow me to swap it into a track in place of another synth on an existing track.
