Pianissimo not loading sample data in Mixcraft 7
I was working on a project using Pianissimo in Mixcraft 7, the regular version, and the next time I opened it up, it would not work and gave me an error message. I uninstalled and reinstalled it several times and still nothing. It works as a standalone program, but not within Mixcraft 7. Please help!

Re: Parallel Compression on Mixcraft 6
Thanks a lot for the suggestions! I tried the send thing and it works pretty well. It sounds good with the Waves and T-Racks compressors I've used with it. Do you usually leave the dry drum track totally uncompressed or with some compression in certain places? Just want to know what's typically done.

Re: Parallel Compression on Mixcraft 6
Thanks, that makes sense. Would I compress any of the individual parts like the kick or the snare?

Parallel Compression on Mixcraft 6
How would I go about using this technique for drums, otherwise known as New York compression? I know one drum mix is supposed to be little to no compression and the other overly compressed, but does that mean two tracks panned center? I don't know that I am understanding this technique correctly and...

Re: Mastering to two tracks
Thanks, I ended up opening it up in Cubase with no problem. That's something I hope will be easier to do in Mixcraft 7. Also Cubase opens up some of my Waves plugins that Mixcraft won't open for some reason.

Re: Mastering to two tracks
I mixed it down to stereo and then opened that WAV file in another project using "add sound" and it came up as a single track. Am I missing something?

Re: Mastering to two tracks
Thanks a bunch! Is it preferable to mix at the highest bit rate?

Re: Mastering to two tracks
I'm talking about more for mastering though, not getting all of the tracks separated. All the mastering stuff, I've come across shows the engineers working with 2 tracks where they apply the EQ's, compressors, limiters, etc. That's what I'm trying to do.

Mastering to two tracks
I've been researching mastering and all the YouTube videos I've seen of it show it being done with two tracks. Is that necessary to do for a good master? Is there a way to mix down to two tracks like that? I've mixed down to one track, but can't find a way to mix down to two. Thanks.

Re: Plugin interface not displaying
What I mean by large project is that there are multiple rhythm guitar tracks, bass, Pianissimo, EZ Drummer, multiple percussion tracks, etc. And there are many effects running. The ToneBoosters Parametric EQ and Variety of Sound FerricDTS are not displaying their interfaces on this project, but disp...

Plugin interface not displaying
I am working on a fairly large project and certain plugins will not display the interface. They will show up as the screen. This does not happen on all plugins, but on ones I have from ToneBoosters and Variety of Sound. I have an EZ drummer track I've frozen and I've tried turning off other effects,...
