MC8:time cursor not always moving when project plays
Hi, I've made two short desktop videos showing a running project. -- In the first video, found here http://somup.com/cbXv2JVTgb the yellow time cursor in the track view always scrolls correctly. So does the one in the piano roll view. But when viewing audio in the Sound tab -- whether in waveform vi...

Re: Izotope
I'm coming over from Sonar too. On my setup, all my Izotope plugs (Neutron 1, Nectar, and Ozone Essentials) work fine in Mixcraft 8

Free plugin to protect your ears and monitors from sound spikes, blasts etc
From Cerebrus Audio, it's called Ice9 Automute. I put this last in my master FX chain. It acts like a circuit breaker. It looks ahead to mute any noise -- even a single sample -- which would exceed +0.2 db. This prevents accidents when you'd otherwise get a burst of (or a sustained) powerful noise f...

Re: Recording MIDI output from Kontakt instrument
Thanks for these tips. I've tried to do exactly this in Mixcraft 8, replicating the setup described as best as I could, including the last two steps mentioned above. Everything works except the actual recording of Kontakt's midi output, as midi. If you've gotten it to work, I think I might be overlo...

[SOLVED] Melodyne Essential is activated, works as an FX; but in ARA mode, all note blobs greyed out / unresponsive
[UPDATE: I rebooted my PC and everything is fine. Should have thought of that! ] --------------------- [Original post] Hi there, moving on from Sonar, I bought MC8 Pro yesterday and am now about 3 hours into my first project. For the most part it's been really great, I've been able to do an a...

Re: Question re Melodyne Editor 4 / Studio 4 in MCPro 8
I went ahead and got Melodyne Studio. Now that I read about it, it seems that the user experience with Melodyne Studio is very good even without ARA (Celemony is awesome)

Re: Question re Melodyne Editor 4 / Studio 4 in MCPro 8
Tana, thanks very much. Two follow-ups if I may .... do Melodyne 4 Studio's "magic" time-based functions (tempo map creation / editing, quantizing one track to another reference track etc) work within Mixcraft via ARA? And as for the multitrack features of Melodyne Studio ... could I uses ...

Question re Melodyne Editor 4 / Studio 4 in MCPro 8
HI all, Well, I bit the bullet and got MC Pro 8 just now. I look forward to getting into it! Meanwhile, I have a a time-sensitive (because it's linked to Black Friday sale) question. Has anyone used either Melodyne Editor 4 or Melodyne Studio 4 with MC8, in ARA mode? I need something with more featu...

Ach, we're writing at the same time
If you could please give me a steer on what I asked in my last post I'd be grateful; I'm unsure whether or not what the email tells me to download, merely duplicates those three files in the zip folder.

Re: Considering switching to Mixcraft 8; seeking user opinions on the following
Greg, After posting just now, I got an email from y'all: "If you haven't downloaded PIANISSIMO yet: DOWNLOAD PIANISSIMO HERE" (the all caps bit being a link) . And it has further instructions, and the registration ID and code. Ok, that's really great, thanks for looking me up and sending t...

Re: Considering switching to Mixcraft 8; seeking user opinions on the following
Hi, Thanks for the suggestion! Did you try my suggestion? Do the 64-bit Pianissimo files correct the problem for you? Greg, I was just getting to replying. Thank you for those. I'm not at my music PC (which is 64 bit) but can try that tomorrow. Do I simply overwite the existing *.dll, *.dat and *.i...
