Re: AAS presets inside mixcraft 9
Hi I've noticed that Mixcraft will acknowledge the presets of certain plugins but not others, and this seems to boil down to disagreements as to the proper VST implementation between the plugin developer and Acoustica. A lot of times the worst free plugins imaginable will get recognized but your $20...

Setting levels in the real world.
Hi So I am using the Waves Dorrough meter and MVM meter to set up my gain structure on stem projects for the Mixing with Mike class. I have an instance of panipulator on every track (mono files) set to mono and L+R -3db. I am setting the gain (using the mixer Gain knob) to either max at -18 VU or -6...

New Video: Setting up Kontakt 6 in Mixcraft
Hi all,
It's been a while, but seeing all of the questions about Kontakt and having recently purchased it myself, the latest video is all about setup process for Kontakt in Mixcraft:

Enjoy!

Cherry effects?
The Cherry Audio synth simulations are so good that I would encourage Acoustica's sister company to replicate effects as well. I think there's a market there for sure, especially with UAD stuff running about $300 a pop.

Re: Lounge Lizard EP-4
Yes there is a big difference. I have the full version and the paid session version and there's a big difference between both of those too. The extra control in the full version gives the sound more detail.

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
It'd be helpful to have a visual peak checker, so if someone sends you a stem project you can say, set your peak threshold to -6 and any sample that exceeds -6 would show up in red and you could just set your clip gain visually without having to play through the song 1,000 times. A VU mode would be ...

Pan law compensation?
Does Mixcraft have any built-in compensation for pan law running in the background?
Pan law describes the acoustic phenomenon where a given signal is perceived to be louder when it is centered.
Some consoles and DAWs will attenuate the gain +/- 3db when panning to compensate

Hi,
Does your Kontakt boot straight into a Multi? Have you ever used MIDI learn in Kontakt and saved those settings?

Re: Tempo change on imported .wav file
Morning, As to the first answer I gave, sometimes just turning timestretch on or off is enough to fix it. I believe Acoustica Dan calls them "tempo obeying" clips when "use project tempo" is selected, and they will reference or ignore the project tempo depending on that setting b...

Cursor blobs?
One thing I've noticed when recording MC via the Display Capture source on OBS studio is that the hover cursors for vertical (up down arrow) and horizontal (side to side arrow) faders invariably show up as little pixelated blobs, and I was hoping to clear that little issue up. Any thoughts?

Re: Tempo change on imported .wav file
Just out of curiosity, is there some reason why you didn't just bounce the tracks in place? You can right click any track in the list and select "Mix to new audio track", and Mixcraft will mix the track down, mute it, and place the WAV in a new track right next to it without needing to imp...

Re: Tempo change on imported .wav file
Morning,
I'm not by my computer right now but there are two buttons in the panel to the left of your sound tab "use project tempo" and "time stretch". Try changing those settings.

Yep, you can use automation, and you can also use the effect MIDI module to control parameters in real time from a physical controller.

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
In further support of the flexible beat reference value suggestion, I believe that would allow the user to effectively obtain tempos far below 40 bpm, as some of our Mixcraft sound designers have requested.
