Hi
I have RealClassic, Realstrat & forget the other. Takes lots of thought, trial & practice to use fully, think I probably know half of what is possible.
Perhaps this one gives a bit more depth https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=doW0ZDBr6lY

Re: Sending each midi drum to it's own submix track.
HI, Welcome to the forum. The way I do that is to make several duplicate of the original drum track then open the first copy and delete all but say the kick. Name the tack kick. Move to the next copy and delete all but the snare, name the track snare. Follow the sequence on each of the copies, makin...

Re: Melodyne question from a beginner
Hi RX8 music rebalance will take out Percussion & bass & use of eq makes a good attempt but cannot completely isolate the piano & strings. A lot of intricate changes in Melodyne studio gets very near to an almost useable harmonica track but too long a process IMO. Happy holidays to all, ...

Trevor
If it really becomes annoying you could of course remove the recent file list from registry, either manually, merge an xxx.Reg file or use a bat file.
Located under this key.
HKey_Current_ User\Software\Acoustica\Mixcraft9\mru.x (x 1 to 9)
Or is not so annoying

Re: mp3 to mp3?
I would guess the original mp3 would not apply a 2nd compression if the rate is the same, rather like a zip file will not compress a zip file further than it is already compressed unless you change the compression level.

Re: New song!
Hi Alex Yes we practised about 5/6 songs & I recorded as we went along. With Allan's mind I am not in the least bit surprised about his scales, they've certainly bamboozled me and a great many other musicians. My wife has told me to let you know she enjoyed your Holdsworth, in fact her kind of m...

Re: New song!
Hi Well done, brought back a few memories Allan played in our group in Bradford for a couple of years have attached a recording of him playing Blue Skies before he went to America and down the fusion route. This is from 1966, recorded at a practise in my front room. When I last saw him in Germany so...

Re: Mixcraft on Mac
Use a windows emulator like Parallels, easy to use, rock solid and the standard emulator for Mac. It does cost about $50 I believe.
Virtual box is also good and open source.
No idea how good Wineskin Winery is but it is also free.

Re: Loading General MIDI Files - And Playing Correct Instruments?
This often works for me.
With Mixcraft closed select the midi file and open, or double click on it.
Mixcraft will open with the correct instruments loaded.

Re: How to send a song to another person?
You could take a look at audiomovers.com for their remote stream plugin. I'm in the UK & I collaborate with a friend in Australia in high quality & little latency - free for one week to try. Easy & very cheap to use & we use skype or What's app to talk & share screen if needed. T...
