Re: Problem with Melodyne in Version 9 on a track that has been split
I want to say OBS Studio is a free program for doing this, but I haven't used it myself so I don't know what it's like.

Just a thought, try fiddling with the mod wheel.

Re: Send track confusion
Sends are either pre fader or post fader. Make sure to right-click on the Send knob in your source tracks' automation area and see what it's set to.
I would take a screenshot but a recent storm took out my home internet so I'm stuck posting from my phone for the moment.

Re: VST suddenly not accepted
Is this a VST that installed files to its own program folder as well as to your VST folder? Some plugins require external files to work, and I'm wondering if this is one of those.
Try running the installer for that VST and see if that fixes it.

Re: EZ Drummer levels
Oh sure - just when I pretty much understood this (enough to make sense in my mind) you throw "parallel compression" at me! :) Oh it's just a fancy way to say mix both the compressed and uncompressed signals together. If you cared enough to experiment with it, you could just create a send...

Re: Piano roll tempo issue
I think this has been the default behavior of the piano roll, all the way back to Mixcraft 5. I guess this happens because when you use the play button in the sound tab, you're listening to just the original sound or midi absent the context of the project. You probably have the same thing happen whe...

Re: EZ Drummer levels
If you're not ready for a nice, dense, technical read, move on  Wow - GREAT information. Thank you both! Compression is still a mystery to me and I've concluded it's some sort of mental block with me. Which bothers me because I normally understand complex things (I'm a statistician / data anal...

Toneboosters plugins sidechain-capable?
Several of the Toneboosters plugins included with Mixcraft 9 have a reference to a sidechain source. However, the plugins are not showing the expected sidechain source drop-down that Mixcraft adds to the plugin window (like the FlX4 instance, below - the plugin makes you believe you can have up to f...
Re: Playback
There's some sort of download page, but I haven't checked to see what the payload is or if the plugins even work at all without a registration key.

Re: EZ Drummer levels
So what I've done based on a suggestion is trying to keep all the tracks around -16dB (again, I realize there is no magic to any suggestion - but this has always set things up well.) yes, good The other is keeping the master track around -10dB. yes, good Of course there are spikes (be pretty boring...

Re: Where would a memory upgrade help?
More memory is most useful if you're someone who works a lot with sample libraries (namely Kontakt libraries) - some libraries can be as much as a gigabyte or two for a single instrument, and the more libraries you pull into a single project the more memory you need to play the project. You also may...

Re: question about markers
Make sure that the loops have a key when you open the sound tab. If there's no key, the loops won't change when the project key does.

Re: Missing sounds
Well, sorry but this may not be a good tip at all, as it may lead to the primary misconception that is likely to be by far the greatest cause of "missing file" errors and "corrupted" or "broken" projects. <Snip> Okay, thanks for the correction Mark... Should I use &quo...

Re: Saving all ready existing projects
I only ask because if I'm reading this correctly, Mixcraft is asking you to give whatever project a name when you try to close Mixcraft - it asks you "You have unsaved changes, do you want to save?", and when you hit "Yes" it asks you to name the project, correct? The only reason...

I make changes to them and want to close them out and save them. when I close and click yes to save and I have to put the name in again. why is this so and is there a setting to change this back to the way it use to be in MC 7 and 8 Are these projects from Mixcraft...
