Re: Recommendations for a good set of headphones for mixing?

Hi, I use Koss PRO4AA when I want to mix with headphones. I recommend listening to reference music that will give you a baseline on how your headphones sound, with respect of bass boost and mids and highs. These are priced around $100.00usd. They are made very well, and have Koss's lifetime warranty...

Re: Orchestral Template

Hi, I use EW Gold box set. Just load the current Play engine. It should show up as a virtual instrument. Once Play is open, select the type of instrument you want. You can setup multiple tracks with different instruments. Once you have the number of instruments you want, save as a template. I have t...

Re: How do I adjust the volume of a song?

Hi,
Also make sure you are recording at a good level to start with. Then watch the signal level on the output track meter so it does not go too high.

Re: Mixcraft 8 Master Track

Yes.
You can adjust your effects/processors while playing your mix. Once you have the sound you like you can stop playing and mix to the file type you want.

Re: Mixcraft 8 Master Track

Hi, You can mix your tracks in-the-box using the Mixcraft mixer. You can add effects and processors to the master track to master the mixed tracks. You don't need to arm the master track to do this. You can listen to your mix as you adjust your effects/processors. When you want a finished version ju...

Re: New computer

Hi, I had a computer built two years ago. I looked what was in computers used for music being sold by music stores, then looked into what it would cost to have one made locally. If you look at the bottom of this post, you will see the specs. For me it was cheaper to have it made locally. They loaded...

Re: Cant get Mixcraft 8 to recognise audio inputs on card

Hi again,
If you have only 2 inputs on your sound card ( audio interface ) you won't have to change anything when you record. Well just change to a new track/s and arm then record.

Re: Cant get Mixcraft 8 to recognise audio inputs on card

Hi, It sounds as though you are playing back the recorded sound (tracks) through your mixer. It sounds like you are sending that audio back into the main outs back into daw with your new takes. You may also get feed back because of this.If you are using your mixer to drive your monitor speakers, you...

Re: When it rains it pours

Hi,
On page 48 of the Mixcraft manual is where it shows how to convert a virtual instrument midi track to audio. This saves cpu power of you have a lot of plugins and virtual instruments.
Hope this helps.

Re: When it rains it pours

Hi, if you are using virtual instruments in Mixcraft you can convert to audio. It is in the Mixcraft manual. I have done this when using multiple orchestra instrumrnts. I record the midi, tweek it, then convert to audio. It makes an audio track next to the midi track you converted. This would save s...

Hi,
On pages 21, & 22 of the Focusrite Control manual shows how to set up headphone mixes code overdubbing. This uses the AI interface software.
Hope that helps.
