Re: Can Spin It Again Plugins Port to Mixcraft?
Greg, So are you saying the noise reduction in MixCraft is totally different than in "Spin It Again"? I've been using Spin It Again forever, on my old cassette band tapes and some albums. Like visionheiry said, I'd like to have Spin It Again's noise reduction in Mixcraft for fixing up and ...

Re: effects are not heard on mixed down wav file
Thanks again Greg! You're always there when we ask for help. I figured it was a bit sampling rate conflict. (All my machines are 64bit, I need to check the FX) (edit: I started Mixcraft, created a new project, created 4 virtual inst tracks for sounds from Mixcraft's library and added 2 Mixcraft FX's...

Re: Optimize your PC for Mixcraft!
Thanks Greg! Tell Eric that article had some great advice! I downloaded LatencyMon and WhySoSlow and found out one of my older laptops wasn't throttling down, but suffered greatly from a zillon hard pagefaults. See screen capture below. And I had reinstalled windows just a few months ago. My newest ...

Re: Optimize your PC for Mixcraft!
Whats the latest on optimizing our Win10 PC's for running Mixcraft?
I'm using Mixcraft's sound libraries a LOT live. Every now and then I get a delay,
cutout, or missing notes when Windows decides to interrupt and go off and do something.

Re: effects are not heard on mixed down wav file
Thanks for the FX reply Greg. I have the same problem. But I'm on a fast 64 bit machine using Mix 8 pro, pianissimo and 3 acoustica string patches, with an acoustica master effect and the Transient Vitaliser. Seems the vitaliser is not getting mixed down to the .wav file. I'll use the info posted he...

Re: Windows 10 Creator Update problem
Thanks for the super quick reply Greg. I had to look Creator up, sadly it looks like Microsoft forces this update onto your PC. No matter, I'll keep using Spin-It-Again on an offline fast Dell XP machine that I took offline and reinstalled XP pro service pack 3 on. That machine runs like super light...

Re: Windows 10 Creator Update problem
Does this mean Spin-It-Again doesn't work in Win10 at the moment? No matter, I have old windows PC's around I can fire up to run Spin-It-Again. I purchased Spin It Again years ago, probably when you first released it (NT or XP days?) I was amazed how well it worked on my old cassette band and home r...

Re: Pianissimo Standalone Missing?
Does the standalone version of Pianissimo and Spin it Again work with Win10? edit: answer is "YES"! I just loaded Pianissimo on a Win10 laptop and works fine! By the way, you must have improved the engine or something. Pianissimo seem to take a much smaller hit on the CPU than before.

Re: Fun using the Video Track
Great job on Sensitive Kind Joe. Sounds much like Mark Knopfler. I absolutely love the clean guitar sound. After years of the overdriven guitar sound, I've finally come clean. (A custom Vibrolux these days instead of Laney stacks or my six 60's Dual Showman stacks) Better equipment these days and gr...

Fun using the Video Track
I'm having a blast and learning the surprising hidden features of Mixcraft's Video track's capability. Course I haven't read thru the help files. Things like you can overlay videos, images, text, etc. At first glance I thought you could only lineup events end to end. But found you can overly multipl...

Re: Interesting Video of how things used to be...
aj113 is absolutely correct! It's not the vinyl, it's the performers . And probably because most takes were live and mistakes were left in because we didn't have all the micro editing capabilities back then. I'm 62, a retired engineer, and have played since I was 5, and seen quite a revolution of e...

Anyone Decoding DBX tapes with Mixcraft?
Has anyone tried decoding DBX type I or type II tapes with Mixcraft ? Most of my 80's 10" reels are DBX encoded. Yes I do still have the DBX decoders, but I want to try transferring the tracks encoded, and then decode them in Mixcraft. There's a couple of posts on the internet about doing this ...

Some neat stories here about good ole record gear. My brother still has our grandparents windup Victrola (mint condition). It has steel needles and I believe bamboo ones also. It has 2 lids. Opening the 2 front doors reveals the mouth of the horn. The needle feeds down thru the tone arm to the expan...

Using Rolands RPC-1 Card/ADA-7000 interface with Mixcraft
I'm tickled pink that my Roland RPC-1 interface PCI card & ADA-7000 (8ch preamp/output/RBUS interface) works perfectly with Mixcraft (got the pro version) I had absolutely no issues hooking it up for the 1st time . See the 1st photo where I'm selecting which of 8 RPC-1 inputs to use for each cha...

Re: Using Multiple interfaces - or Digital input
Tree1blues, did you wind up buying another interface to get more than 2 inputs? I tried the suggestion of using WaveRT instead of ASIO. That still only allowed one interface, but it also allowed the use of the computers audio inputs. Of course the quality of the computers line in isn't as good as a ...
