fredfish,
OP states he wants to DL directly to the android tablet, then transfer to his desktop, not vice versa (I answered same as you initially).

Re: d/l loops to android tablet
*Edited. I changed my answer when I saw that you want to DL directly to your android tablet. No, I don't think that's possible. AFAIK, there's no separate download for the loops - at least for the last two versions of MC. And without a Windows machine, you can't run MC to initiate the download of lo...

Zoob, I'm curious, what anti-virus are you running?

Re: True Midi sound
Midi is not sound. As Panacotta posted, you need to connect the audio out from the Yamaha to your PC/sound card.
Re: USB 3.0
It looks like by calling it "compatible" they want to make believe that it runs with the higher speed a usb 3.0 interface would give. 3.0 usb interfaces are backwards compatible, i.e. run a 2.0 speed. Believe it, if their interface was really usb 3.0, they would advertise it in big letter...

Re: MC 6 error
You're getting the same message even after reinstalling Mixcraft?
Did you uninstall Mixcraft, reboot, then reinstall? Try that first.

Re: Midi keyboard not playing Virtual Instruments
By onboard I mean integrated. If you don't have another audio interface, then you are using the integrated sound card. Local Off is on the piano. It turns off the piano's built-in sounds, but still allows midi to transmit. First, we need to make sure you have the piano and laptop connected correctly...

Re: PCIe To PCI Adapters
I would also recommend getting a new sound card. Converters have improved significantly over the past two decades... I think you'd be very surprised at how much clearer the sound will be with even a modest-priced new interface. That said, if you are dead set on keeping the Delta 66, you absolutely n...

Re: Midi keyboard not playing Virtual Instruments
To disable onboard sounds from your piano, Local Off (piano/midi settings). It will still transmit midi to your laptop.
Are you using the laptop's onboard soundcard? What is your sound device under preferences?

Re: Mixcraft sans Windows
Is this MC 7 you're talking about? The use of Wine/Linux is interesting and all that, but I've got too many Windows programs and not enough of a chip against Microsoft to abandon Windows at the moment. And I'm happy with Win 8.1, with no plans to go to Win 10 any time soon -- free or not. Of course,...
Re: USB 3.0
.... I have an AMD chip. AMD SYSTEM USERS If you're using an AMD system you should connect your Scarlett Solo to a USB 3.0 port after downloading and installing the driver. http://us.focusrite.com/usb-audio-interfaces/scarlett-solo/downloads Both AMD and Intel systems have USB 3.0 ports -- which do...
Re: USB 3.0
Yes, it's strange how USB3 is now standard on newer PCs/laptops, yet it seems Presonus is the only company that's figured out how to design a USB3 interface -- or, at least, how to make one that's profitable. I have a USB3 external drive and it's not even funny how much faster it is (transferring da...

A shot in the dark, but you might try the legacy Firewire drivers for Windows and see what happens.

Re: Sonitus FX
Check out the free Reaplugs fx suite. I find the compressor and delay as good (or better) than its Sonitus counterparts:

Here's what they look like:

It looks like they were updated in 2012 by Cakewalk to work as VST effects according to this Cakewalk blog! http://blog.cakewalk.com/download-the-s ... nly-19-99/ Yes, the VST format were sold separately. Up until fairly recently they were still for sale at the Cakewalk website. I just looked and c...
