Re: Vocal only Mixcraft 7
While the videos are a great introduction to the basics and assorted tips, they certainly can't begin to substitute for the depth and detail of learning offered to those who devote the time to reading the manual. Taking the "easy" route and only watching the tutorial videos is short chang...

Re: Vocal only Mixcraft 7
The manual is great, but you might find it easier just watching these short videos. They do an excellent job covering the basics (and then some):

Re: Dumbass question for the technically gifted!
My interface is USB 2.0 - it's not good enough. Once I get to about 20 tracks with a fair smattering of edits and plugins inserted, the sound starts to drop out. Switching from ASIO to Wave resolves the problem but even this workaround has its limitations - once I get to about 40 tracks the problem...

Re: Finally got the studio sorted!
Nice for a commercial studio, but a personal home studio? I'd be afraid to touch anything in case it left a mark!
And forget about bringing in a sandwich and beer - NO FOOD or DRINK ALLOWED! (I have the same rule now - but only near the electronics).
So much for the fantasy.

Hm, another first time poster. Ball, then Bat... Coincidence? I never understand these jokers who will go through the trouble of trolling a forum, then rejoining under another name just to continue bad-mouthing the product. If it's not to your taste, why not just go elsewhere? There are plenty of DA...

Re: Mixcraft Pro Studio 6
So, it was all working together fine, then suddenly you woke up and it wasn't... ? Something definitely changed since yesterday on your system. First, try to identify the cause: Any software updates or new installs just before you started having problems? If not, have you tried System Restore? (This...

Re: Mixcraft 7 suggestions?
..... 1. 64 bit capability ...... I'm amazed this didn't show up until page 7 of the thread! Though I purchased MC6, 64-bit capability is the one thing lacking that prevents me from using it as my main DAW (I rely on large, ram-intensive VSTs, and 32-bit just doesn't cut it anymore). This is not to...

Re: Mixcraft 6: Very Unstable At Times...
...The hard drive size is not the problem, because I only have 179GB worth of content on it(my other PC is only a 500GB HD & only a dual core processor with 4GB of RAM and I have at least the same amount of HD space used up on that one) and it runs much better. .... It's not the hard drive data ...

Re: Mixcraft 6: Very Unstable At Times...
I suspect this is a system configuration issue. You only mention about half of your system specs.... What OS? Is it 32 or 64 bit? A 1 TB HD... Are you saying you have only one hard drive, and everything is on it? (FYI -- A DAW - especially one running resource-intensive VSTs - should have at least t...

Re: Korg microkey/ compatibility issues in Windows XP
Searched and found this site for the Microkey. Is it the same one you have? http://www.korg.com/microkey Under "downloads" you'll find their drivers described as being "compatible with Windows 8, 7, Vista & XP, in both 32 and 64 bit configurations ". I don't know if it's just...

Hi packhorse, Keep us posted on your progress. I don't have EWQL (yet), but it should be fine. The simplest way is to download and install the 32 bit version (since MC is 32 bit). You can also use a program like jBridge to "bridge" the 64 bit version of EWQL with Mixcraft (for gaining 64 b...

Re: Disputed claim YouTube
A quick check of the link in question leads me to think that it's the video portion that "might" be a copyright infringement. Is this a render from a TV show, movie or video game? I only watched about a minute of it, but the video portion looks professionally done. (And unlike audio/royaly...

Re: Are you kidding about the pops and crackles? Help!
Hi. I am using the sound card on my Dell computer. I am playing just 6 tracks. using Mixcrafts built in drums...just a kick drum....its a really simple thing...then I recorded a guitar and a vocal and the clicks began and I am in recording hell...i can't concentrate on anything due to the intermitt...

Re: Pops and clicks when monitoring and playback
I am baffled. Mixcraft plays back with cracks and pops and no one has a reasonable fix. This is seriously bizarre. Its a studio with tons of unnacceptable noise but no one can fix it? Please give me a simple fix -- I am using a computer with tons of power and the problem occurred the second I began...

Try star grounding:

Basically, it means grouping as many audio devices onto the same power strip as you safely can.
Good luck!
