Re: Saturation

Thanks. I will. But I don't think I understand what I am after. What is "saturation?" A quality of "tube" amps now emulated in digital?

Saturation

Someone recommended adding more saturation to my vocals, but I don't know what that is. Is this a dedicated plug in that simply doesn't come from Mixcraft, or is it an effect that you can get with the standard Mixcraft plugins. I am interested in both recommendations for 3rd party plugins, and for t...

Re: Korg instrument change sending Midi to Mixcraft

Greg, I am sorry that I don't understand your answer, or perhaps don't understand the problem. This occurs in all projects. I can reset it, but somehow it keeps happening. I start to notice, for example, that track volumes are changed, usually turned down to zero. I can visually see, for example, wh...

Re: Korg instrument change sending Midi to Mixcraft

I have learned how to clear this problem from Greg's help on this post, but after clearing it, it has started happening again. Suddenly my volume values are being reset. When I go into Mix/Midi Control Surface, I see things are set again. Is there a way I can keep Mixcraft from reassigning things ba...

Re: Monitor on Audio Record has significant delay

Thank you for the education! I set the buffer to 512, and the delay is gone!

Re: Monitor on Audio Record has significant delay

Greg, I have (at least) two confusions. I thought when the box was unchecked it was showing me the current settings. Therefore the buffer size is currently 1024. (1) You are suggesting to change it to 512, a smaller buffer. I assumed bigger was better. (2) So are those the current settings (what sho...

Re: Monitor on Audio Record has significant delay

Greg, I am using ASIO, the Focusrite USB ASIO. I have "Use Device's Preferred Settings" checked. When I unclick it, I see

Sample Rate: 44200
Buffer Size: 1024
Latency: 23.2

Re: Korg instrument change sending Midi to Mixcraft

Thanks, Greg. I wish somebody had told me to do that the last time I asked about this. I probably made those settings from an old Midi Controller and forgot about them.

Re: Monitor on Audio Record has significant delay

Thanks. I should have clarified that. The problem occurs on a brand new audio track with no effects in a brand new project.

I just updated to the latest builds today before starting this project and as soon as I tried to record I noticed it.

Monitor on Audio Record has significant delay

I used to be able to monitor myself, using the "Monitor Audio" button, while recording an Audio Track. There used to be very little delay in what I heard. Now there is a significant delay, making it unusable. I have the same audio interface I have had for years (Focusrite Scarlett 6i6). I ...

Korg instrument change sending Midi to Mixcraft

How do I tell Mixcraft to ignore signals coming from a Control Surface/Midi Keyboard? For some time, without me touching anything in Mixcraft, I find that the volume of a track suddenly becomes zero, or a clip moves from one track to another. It was suggested to me that I am doing this myself, by m...

No it is on a single track and each note is doubled; There are two copies of each note, one right on top of each other in the same clip.

Double notes from Midi

Hi, I have been recording some Midi phrases from my keyboard with no difficulty. I did some recording yesterday. This morning, when I went to record a phrase, I was getting double notes. Each note I keyed in was in the recording twice, right on top of each other. I didn't make any changes that I am ...
