Hello Crafters, I'm new to Mixcraft but not DAW Recording. Been on REAPER for quite some time now. When I saw the massive upgrade about to take place w/Mixcraft 6 I got rather enthusiastic to try it out. Hafta say I am rather pleased w/what I'm finding here. This is about my 5th RECing now in Craft6...

Surfercook, you can email the beta team and let them know about your bugzilla registration problem. In the meantime, just email them any bug reports. I have logged and emailed the beta team both my crashes/freezes. Also emailed him RE:the prob registering on Bugzilla. No replies for any of my emails.

Any chance of making the backup files optional - maybe via Preferences? I seem to be spawning backups all over the place. No lie! I didn't even realize it was creating a new backup each time. This is pretty much a full project for me. I've gotten into the habit of saving my work frequently is RECd so as to not lose anything. But not even a hiccup this time!

I use midi ALOT...and coming from REAPER and SampPro11 the new ver of MixC is kinda stripped down compared to them. But I am enjoying the new interface. It has much more pleasant graphics than previous versions.

This is what I was working on when it froze. I wanted to do the lead synth w/the same one as the rhythm, but since Mixcraft6 kept freezing w/Kontakt I just used one of Mixcraft's synths for the lead. It was kind of a bummer when it froze because I had layed down an hrs worth of guitaring. But I did sign up for it!! I am far from an advanced user and couldn't locate all the crash files. It was disappointing not finding them as I was excited to check them out! Did manage to find a "Log" ...

Agree w/the Undo/Redo and PI/PO suggestions. Quite helpful to have both. I have been on REAPER for over a year now and it contains both features. Been opening up MixC6Beta every day now for my practice/play/RECing time and it is quite nice though.

All Mixcraft VSTIs and all played on the You Rock Guitar! Still no crash/freeze though. Five tracks straight w/a few effects and tweaked EQs. Diggin the synths in Craft!

It went really smooth...but just one track for a quickie to start feeling out the DAW. Used the harpsichord from library triggered by a You Rock Guitar. Really like the midi editor and the library is pretty sweet.
