Re: Mixcraft Pro Studio 8 System (CPU) Utilisation
Sometimes the on board graphics can cause dropouts. Make sure the graphics is set to optimal performance not quality. A dedicated graphics card should also take care of this potential problem. Jim

Re: Increased RAM from 4gb to 8gb but...
Does Mixcraft make full use of multi-core processing? Only Acoustica can answer this but usually the Audio Engine needs to be on a single core due to timing considerations. So a 4 core i7 and 4Ghz with give better performance than a slower 16 core Xeon due to the audio engine being on a single core ...

Re: Audio Drop Outs On Playback & Rendering
My guess it is in the buffering. I had a similiar problem in Mixcraft on a song. I tried the song in Reaper at the same buffering and I had a similiar dropout. In both cases the CPU usage was minimal. I increased the buffer size and it appears to have solved the problem.

Re: Acoustica Instruments and Mixcraft 8
I went ahead and installed the 32 bit trial of Mixcraft 8 to see how the Acoustica Instrutments did on that. The Mixcraft 6 Callisteia demo project mixcraft cpu usage was between 18% and 22% in Mixcraft 8 32 bit. Still quite a lot higher than Mixcraft 7 pro 64 bit cpu usage of 5% to 10%.

Re: Acoustica Instruments and Mixcraft 8
Both the Mixcraft 8 trial and Mixcraft 7 Pro are 64 bit. So if I hear you right, the 32 bit Acoustica Instruments are unchanged. The Mixcraft 8 sound engine has changed and the mixcraft CPU meter reads quite a bit higher on these JBridged VSTs in Mixcraft 8.

Acoustica Instruments and Mixcraft 8
Just downloaded the trial of Mixcraft 8. I playing around a little and I loaded Callisteia from Mixcraft 6 and Sword of Fianna from Mixcraft 7 into Mixcraft 8. I wonder if Acoustica Instruments got updated - they sound better on Mixcraft 8 (at least to my ear) but CPU usage went way up. When Callist...

Re: Addictive Drums 2 and Mixcraft
That's pretty vague. What's specifically is your problem.
Re: Loops?
Record your guitar rhythm pattern to a specific drum beat (on a separate track - say 120 BPM). If you want a 2 bar loop, I would record 12 bars or so, giving lots to choose from. With all your effects in place (amplitube, maybe so EQ etc,) render the track to a wave. Open it in Audacity, copy the 2 ...

Re: No sound from keyboard
I have a 49es which I don't use anymore but I remember having to download the driver from the "legacy" area at the m-audio website a few years ago. My guess your controller is obselete from a Windows 10 perspective. Do you have a Windows 7 laptop or something to try your controller on? The...

@chibear
I listened to your cover of Copland's Fanfare. You did a very nice job on that.

Re: Focusrite ASIO control panel
Yes, I go into Open Mixer and change the settings. When I restart the computer, the ASIO settting is back a 128 buffer size. I have the same result when I open the mixer from the Start Menu. My changes never stick. By the way, I really like Mixcraft 7 Pro. I have been trying to like Reaper but I am ...

Focusrite ASIO control panel
Just got a Focusrite Solo audio interface. I use the ASIO driver and it always default to a buffer size of 128. I reset the buffer to something higher but the setting never sticks. Does anyone know how to get the driver to default to 256 or 512. This is just a mild irritant.
Thanks

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
I think the following would be nice adds to a future version of MixCraft 1) The Studio Drums vst needs a have some editability. Simply being able to assign each instrument to a separate midi channel (to easily be used in submix tracks) would go a long way to make this vst shine. 2) This program need...
