Re: Oiginal R&B Tune

GREAT tune, Tom... With the season changing rapidly here in New England, this somehow has a beautiful end-of-summer jazz feel to it. Love the melody and the instrumental work, nice subtle percussion! Many thanks for this one.. 8) 8) Rick.

Re: Some Chilled Funk for the weekend...

WOW! I liked everything about this tune. Great jazz/rock feel, driving rhythm. Nice "improv" feeling about the synth work, and the "wah" guitar around 1:30. Yeah, this is a great tune for crankin' up and driving. Thanks! Rick. 8)

Re: Gone , forgotten and departed - final mix and video

Mark,

Glad to hear it's not a personal story...Yeah, we've all got someone gone, forgotten, or departed one way or another.Great tune that strikes a common nerve! Rick.

Re: Gone , forgotten and departed - final mix and video

Hi Mark, Beautiful job finishing out this sad but memorable tune! I like the vocal/harmony work, and solid, subtle orchestration! The stills in the video work well with the theme. Love the guitar sound in the break at 3:10. The song gives me the feeling there's a deeper story here, and you've transl...

Re: Simple Hymn, For Friends Away

Hi Barry, I appreciate your input on the song, glad it sounds good to you. I think I scared folks off by tagging it as a hymn! Should have just called it Simple Song  . I mostly used it for another elementary try at some orchestration, and also got a lot more practice with the piano roll editor...

I really like this song. Good vocals, especially the harmonies, and the orchestral build-up towards the end. Thanks! I hope you post this when it's finished to your satisfaction. 8) Rick.

Simple Hymn, For Friends Away

Well, I didn't set out to write a hymn-- one of many snippets I have on file that I decided to pick up and work to some logical end. Still tweaking this... I've been through it so many times that I can't hear it objectively any more, so wanted to run it past some of those good Mixcraft ears out ther...

Re: On the Beach ... new original composition

Wouldn't open for me yesterday, but worked fine today-- Great tune! Love the synth work, and fine mix. Is that spoken part around 3:30 from an old movie soundtrack? Works well with the piece. Thanks, Rick 8)

Howdy, blaze 591-- For some reason, the track isn't opening in soundcloud..... I'll be glad to give it a listen when I can access it. Rick. :(

How to merge 2 "lanes" into 1 track?

Well, I know I've managed this before, but brain cramp is obviously interfering.... I have 2 lanes of the same instrument in one track, and want to merge them into one track. The lanes don't overlap, one ending just before the other begins, but under the "track" heading, the "delete e...
