Trouble with changing tempos

Hey there! I have a song I'm working on where I want to change from 128 bpm to 130 bpm and then back to 128 bpm later on. I've used the markers to do this. I'm using several Vsts running arps(Messiah being the main one) and I have the arp synced to the project tempo in each case. I see in Messiah th...

Re: Trying to set up Zoom R24 as interface

I had similar problems when I borrowed a friends Zoom R16 or 24. Is the Zoom screen switching sometimes quickly between two different sample rates, say 44.1 and 96? The one I was using did, and as GovernmentMule mentioned, it appeared some other application was trying to change the sample rate while...

Thanks msavoia! That will definitely save me some time next go round. :D (Although a "save as" button would still be nice. ;) )

Re: Using Mixcraft 7 live questions

Yes, I can do this Anorax. But say I want to have half my midi keyboard set to play a synth bass sound and the other half set to play a reverby piano and pads. If I wanted to put some distortion on only the bass synth and reverb on only the piano, I couldn't, unless I seperated the bass and piano in...

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!

No sure if any of this has been suggested yet but here are some of mine: 1. Ability to route the metrenome to different outputs. 2. Ability to control the metrenomes volume from one of the mixing pages(instead of having to open up preferences to do so). 3. Ability to change the metronome from say 1/...

Re: Using Mixcraft 7 live questions

Yes, I would route the metrenome the way you described. You interpreted my question right. It would be nice to be able to add effects to individual vsts in a instrument track because then if you're playing live, and want that flexibility, you won't have to arm several instrument tracks to play what ...

Using Mixcraft 7 live questions

Hello all! My band and I are going to be playing at a local youth event in April and I just upgraded to Mixcraft 7. I'm liking the new cool stuff! Our normal keyboard player is at college a few hours away and unavailable to play at this event with us. That leaves us with just vocals, bass, drums, an...

Re: Some Constructive Criticism Much Appreciated! :D

Thanks Mr. Mark! I appreciate the encouragement and the suggestions. :D Yeah, the vocal has been probably the trickeist part of this mix so far. I knew that the weird reverb swells on the vocal and everything else at 1:30 would raise a few eyebrows, but hey, I guess it's ok if not everybody likes it...

Re: Some Constructive Criticism Much Appreciated! :D

Thanks a lot AHornsby! I used to put too much reverb on ALL my mixes a few years back when I first got into it, so I'm learning how to use reverb tastefully to enhance the song and not become the star of the show. :) But I may tweak the reverb a little in spots. I felt like the claps in the last cho...

Some Constructive Criticism Much Appreciated! :D

Hey there! I have been practicing mixing for the last 3-4 years. I am foremost a musician but started dabbling in recording at home a few years back. My church needed someone to make some songs tailored for the various dramas we do, and I was the guy for the job since I play multiple intruments. Any...

Re: 3 FREE Excellent Plugins...

Wow! Thanks for the heads up geo524! I just got all 3 of these and tried 'em out on a mix I had finished but was having trouble mastering. The Slick EQ worked really well on the track. All I really did was adjust the high gain and it sweetened up the dull sound I had before to just the right place, ...

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!

I've seen in videos of Pro Tools that you can pan a single track hard left and hard right on the same channel. This would be a useful feature in MC 8 for me. Say if I wanted to double my guitar and pan them hard left and hard right in MC now, I would have to use two seperate chanels and pan them, of...
