I've never noticed the bass/treble problem you seem to be having with panning. Could it possibly be the instrument your using? I mean.. could it be set up to function that way?

Your files somehow got switched. It is always going to be as big of a mystery to us as it is to you... as to the cause of this happening I mean. Go to wherever your "project" files are stored! Mine are in documents<Mixcraft projects. For this Mixcraft will remain closed. Do not open Mixcra...

No I have not used it. But it looked interesting and I thought it (the idea) could possibly be useful and/or integrated.

Sound's like a lot of work, but midi should transfer fine. I like my older presonus interface. Window's 7 is my preferred choice due to it's functionality.
