As Greg mentioned, the controller is able to be programmed via midi learn in MC. It's not difficult and will allow you to customize settings as you see fit.

If it doesn't occur when your interface is plugged in directly, why not just do that and get a different dock for the other stuff? Doesn't really sound like a Mixcraft/Windows issue to me, sounds more like that specific dock is what is causing the issue.

I've looked at the above but never got around to trying it. I'm just a hobbyist I messed around with Potato during Covid, it's really cool if you need it. Most can handle a few extra clicks of the mouse but it gives a lot of cool features and benefits. I woulld highly recommend everyone try it out ...

You can check this stuff, the cable can come in quite handy. Banana and Potato are pretty robust but very useful if you're dealing with multiple in/outs.

Thanks for the extra info, my good men. Final question: what is the slide action like? Is it smooth/continuous? I would want something with minimal resistance and really fluid? It's pretty smooth on the unit and the response with MC is spot on. Keep in mind, this isn't 'high end' so expectations sh...

Going to +2 for the NK2, I only use it as a control surface not as a tool for playing vsti though. I have an Akai LPD8 and a korg 37 keyboard for that. Between those 3 I'm set for what I do.

Sometimes windows updates can change windows sound settings, I'd look there first to make sure windows settings match MC settings ie. 24 bit 48000 Hz with a 512 buffer is usually good enough.

I use EZD2 as an idea board, once I get something I like I'll move it to MC and edit there as necessary. So I'm kind of a tweener.

Specs should be more than ample. You could try updating the video driver maybe? Nvidia has updates all the time.

What are your computer specs? Video rendering requires a robust system, processor and ram are paramount for optimal performance.
