Re: Thank God for Mixcraft 7.1 64-bit!

Absolutely! That's why I've finally started exploring ver. 7. I was quite ill for a number of months and my Dad passed in January. It's been challanging, but praise the Lord, I'm well and healed. I've quite a backlog, but I'm working away at it. ;) Glad to hear it, Brother Charles! Any chance you'll...

Thank God for Mixcraft 7.1 64-bit!

Yay! :D Great job, Dan & team. 8) Not only am I very pleased to no longer have 32-bit architecture constraints, but the overall performance of Mixcraft Pro Studio 7.1 b268 is very, very good. I'm getting much better DSP load results than I did with Mixcraft 6. I don't have to freeze as many trac...

Want to Hear My Latest Mixdown?

Hi gang, I've had Mx Pro Studio 7 since a few months, but due to "life stuff", I haven't been able to experiment and explore with it. That is, up until a few days ago. I will never be installing 32-bit DAW and/or plug-ins going forward, therefore I was very happy to install and set up Mixc...

Re: Saxosphere

"The Saxophones" from the geniuses at SampleModelling.com. Pricey, yes, but man oh man! They are VERY realistic sounding.

Optimize your PC for Mixcraft!

For a VERY well modelled VST version of a classic "Pultec", take a serious look at the "PTC-2A" from OverTone. This plug-in, like all the OverTone products, is very light on CPU. The good news is that it is available in native 64 bit as well. http://www.overtonedsp.co.uk/download...

Re: Point a newguy in the right direction to get the best so

Agreed +1 Both Graham Cochrane (RecordingRevolution and Joe Gilder (HomeStudioCorner) have a lot of excellent teaching materials. I always recommend this site - simply because I've found it to be the most helpful. Here are 93 five minute videos which will show you almost everything. I keep it book-m...

Registration Code

Proud of you, Greg. Exemplary professionalism. Instead of giving Acoustica a hard time, the so-called customer is well advised to contact the vendor whom he purchased from. Sweetwater are noted for their exceptional customer support. The only other tracking method would be if he "registered&quo...

Re: Crackling when using SFZ samples

I've never had good results with any of those free SFZ players in Mixcraft. It's expensive, but I know for a fact that DirectWave by ImageLine works perfectly.

avox 4

All Antares plug-ins are available in VST 2.4 format. I have Avox 4 and find it very useful. The various effects must be used judiciously, of course.

64-bit VB3?

The version of VB3 in Mixcraft is an older (pre payware) copy. It would be nice to see the latest 64 bit version included in MC 7 Pro.

Making an MP3 louder

Classic limiter . . . Hmmm . . Maybe give the very reasonably priced TB Barricade by ToneBoosters a try. Very clean and much, much better sounding. I still like some of those old K Classics, but the limiter is muddy and muffled sounding. Compare to TB Barricade and you'll hear what I mean.
