Re: Build 470 won't load projects created in Build 469
I would venture that based on the OP's description, the primary issues experienced are likely caused by one or more specific plug-ins. It can be difficult to pin-point. A log file review as Greg suggested would go a long way toward narrowing it down. The suggestion about updating plug-ins is also va...

Re: Any way to auto re-record ?
"sorry for my newbie overly particular approach...."
No need to apologize.
Flexibility without undue complication should always be the goal.
And what you are trying to do should be a standard, fairly default operation IMO. Though I think my head would explode by 20, much less 50 attempts...

Re: Trigger kick drum from a track
I am aware of dedicated drum replacement plug-ins, but cant recommend any specific one as I have no personal experience with them. You might try a general Youtube search for "Drum replacement" or "Drum trigger" and find some tutorials/recommendations. I know some use "Drumag...

Re: How Do You Adjust The Volume For Library Sounds?
Yes, I have found loops and such to be pretty consistently 'normalized' and therefore one needs to trim or gain stage as needed.
I guess the explanation is that the content producers feel it is competitive in some way to be loud. They are consistently too loud for mixing as presented.

Re: How Do You Adjust The Volume For Library Sounds?
Turn it down 12dB (to start with) and then click on the ??? to make the preview track disappear.

Re: Pulse effect for entire mix
That would be called a "stutter effect" Some research of that term should reveal a few ways to do it. One would be level automation cuts in 16th or 32nd notes I guess. Note that some guitarists mod their instrument with a momentary "kill" button and use it for similar effect as w...

Example not found in that song list.
And yes, a "breakdown" would be a completely different thing than "Pulse effect for entire mix"
A good example would help us help you.

Re: Pulse effect for entire mix
Yeah, I was just referring to an "old school" example of how (What I perceive as the intention) might be done. There are many ways to get similar results, and perhaps the LFO is a viable option. Honestly, I have never messed with that because either it doesn't pertain or isn't applicable t...

I assume the reference is "pumping"
IE: A heavy compressor side chain triggered by a muted kick drum track.

Re: Technical question on audio interface
Another possible non useful input from a hobbyist, use EZDrummer2/3 no need to mess with a whole drumkit. Plus you don't have to deal with a drummer, they're a mess! M But you need the drummer for sound check while you mess with the kick mic for an hour (and are never really happy with it...
