Yes, its something that needs to be addressed in future versions.

Re: Guide Track?
Yeah, the thing about Scaler and other such "Utilities" is that you can't record the full midi output. ... You can, but only by routing the MIDI output of one track through an external loopback driver such as Loop MIDI, and back in to Mixcraft on another track. This takes some figuring ou...

Re: Ik Multimedia T-Racks 5
I tried both T-Racks 5.0.1 and 5.1 and got the same result. The VST2 plugins work and the VST3 plugins do not work. This is in 64-bit Mixcraft 8 Build 412 on Windows 7 Professional SP1. For me, ASIO, WaveRT exclusive, WaveRT non-exclusive, and Wave all give the same result. It looks to me like (1) t...

So both developers are saying they have released their part of the fix, and suggesting that the other developer has not.Acoustica Greg wrote: ... We've already released that update, it's Mixcraft v8.1 build 412. IK Multimedia needs to release their update now.

Re: Academic Question about gain peaking
so the more powerful a computer gets, the more headroom it can handle is that it? headroom - does it depend on computing power? If I understand your question correctly, then headroom doesn't depend on computing power but rather on the data type used to store sample values. 64-bit floating point num...

Re: Academic Question about gain peaking
I'm not sure what the terms "infinite loudness" and/or "infinite gain" even mean, but I'll assume that Scythe has an answer to that question. What programming language has a data type that can represent infinity with any precision? If there is such a thing, then it might be possi...

Re: Howto capture streaming audio
RendCycle, do you want/need to record 5.1 surround? Or is the issue the inconvenience of having to switch back and forth between stereo and 5.1?

Re: Mixcraft 8 doesn't detect Amplitube 4
What is the advantage of using Mixcraft as a 32-bit app? If you have plugins that are only available as 32 bit, 64-bit Mixcraft can use most (if not all) of those.

Re: Mixcraft 8 doesn't detect Amplitube 4
EDIT: See Mark's post immediately after this one.
Is it possible that you inadvertently installed 64-bit Amplitube in the 32-bit plugin folder? I don't know what Mixcraft would do in that situation.
Also, if you have another DAW or other VST host that uses 32 plugins, try opening Amplitube in that.

Yeah, I was aware of that possibility Richard. But I installed the demo and confirmed, it loads as an instrument and works placed before your chosen VSTi. [...] some tweakers might find it useful. I, too, tried the demo when I discovered there is one. Instabuy for me. I once tried to kludge togethe...

Re: Can I take individual tracks from my Tascam analog multitrack recorder and add to Mixcraft 8
... The Tascam has a left and right out put to which I connected two male rca jacks to one male xlr jack that goes into the Roland Quad Capture. This doesn't sound right to me. I think you want to connect the two RCA outputs to the two inputs on the Roland interface using RCA to 1/4 inch cables. Do...
