Re: Mixcraft still the easiest learning curve!
Hi Greg, Here's what I'm talking about... Just for example, if I record a fresh, dry, raw sound clip with no effects, it comes through Logic or Reaper so hot that I can put the sound right inside my head, and can also pan it really hard too. With MC the sound seems to be in front of me no matter wh...

Re: Mixcraft still the easiest learning curve!
Plug-ins are very important as to how they treat those 0s and 1s. How they behave in the chain can make a difference. As I played with DAWs they began to feel more like a musical instrument. Mixcraft just feels right for me. I think that other real musicians would have the same reaction. My recordin...

Re: Microphone Survey
Sennheiser 835. Easily beats the over-hyped (but still good) SM58 IMO. No more boxiness :) Currently shopping for an LDC and ribbon. I've used a lot of 58's live. It seems no two are exactly alike. Some are hotter than others. In live settings they really punch out the vocals male or female. They g...

Re: Mixcraft still the easiest learning curve!
I would think that when it is all tracked and mixed there is no way to tell which DAW a piece of music was mixed on. I was just on Soundcloud listening to some of Eric's tracks and they are superb! https://soundcloud.com/ericvanlandingham I am assuming he used Mixcraft. I wish I could get that sound...

Hi, The one log file you sent in showed you were using Wave mode, which is not the preferred way to go. It would be instructive to see a log file from when you tried WaveRT or ASIO. Greg Most of the time I've used Wave RT Latency isn't a problem because I can hear the instrument through the Beringe...

Re: New modal jazz tune
That's a very beautiful piece of music. I'd like to hear a bit more percussion throughout. Maybe something steady on the ride cymbal or some Latin percussion. The drum fills are very nice.

This One is So Sexy It Needs To Be Played on a Pornograph!
I used to play this one out with bands back when men were men and sheep were scared. I wish my old guitar had played the guitar parts.
I used some Mixcraft loops and the amp simulator.

Re: Time For A New PC and New Mixcraft: Unable to Diagnose and New Problems Keep Popping Up
I'm certain now that it's my sound card. I'm using a cheap berringer USB interface and everything playing back fine. No pops or stutters. I think my sound card has been having issues for quite a while. The problem was so intermittent that it was a bear do diagnose. Now no matter what device is playi...

Hi, Wave will have the highest latency. You should use WaveRT, or ASIO if it is available. Those would give you better audio performance at lower latencies. Before you give up on this computer completely, can you please look back at Eric's email and see what your ticket number was? I want to look a...

Re: Time For A New PC and New Mixcraft: Unable to Diagnose and New Problems Keep Popping Up
Hi, Did you ever send in your log file? You said that you'd figured out which folder it was in at one point, right? It might help if you didn't create so many new threads on this issue, so it would be easier to keep track of what has been suggested. Once again, if the sound is coming out of an unex...
