Re: Lots of talent here!

I enjoyed your post-- there really are a load of talented folks out there. Thanks to sites like Mixcraft and Soundcloud, a lot of different music is now easier to access. I'm also a fan of Richard Thompson, old Fairport Convention, Pentangle, etc. Life is change, and the beat goes on...... Rick.

Re: I Love You - (An Original)

Hi Tom, So sorry to hear of your loss. Your tune is beautiful and full of honest sentiment. I think you put into music what we would all want to tell a departed parent. Thank you, Rick.

Re: New song recorded with Mixcraft 6

Yo, vicious,
Not really my genre, I'm an old fart Woodstock veteran--but I have to admire your timing,(Ican't talk that fast), and the backing instrumentals. Always trying to keep an open mind...Thanks! Rick.

Re: Minimouge Arpeggiator - Shotgun

Thanks, Tom-- that's what I was afraid of, but no biggie. I hadn't thought of duping the waveform and tweaking those. As always, I appreciate the advice. Rick

Re: Minimouge Arpeggiator - Shotgun

Hi Tom! Enjoyed the cover of Shotgun. The arpeggiator has some good potential. Also nice steady bass line. While I've got you here-- I recently mixed down a piece I was working on to a wav file, and neglected to back up my mx6 file. I can drag the re-mix into Mixcraft, but of course it's now a singl...

Re: "free" vsti download nightmare....

Thanks to all for the info. I've learned my lesson the hard way, seems I got some nasty viruses in that download process. Lost my internet connection in the process, so I'm using an ancient Apple backup to send this.... Will get my computer back tomorrow. Free ain't free!

Re: "free" vsti download nightmare....

Thanks again Tom-- Think I'll stick to the Mixcraft horns for now, like I said, they are good. Now all I have to do is get all the junk programs off my computer..again. There's no such thing as a free lunch. Or a free sax. Back to the drawing board. Rick.

"free" vsti download nightmare....

OK, I've heard there are some good free virtual instrument downloads out there, and I've twice tried to download them with no luck. I'm specifically looking for another sax to augment the pretty darn good ones that came with MC6. The first was from a company called DVS, and the second from vst4free....

Re: Three Thirty Blues

Love it! Great guitar and keyboard work. Also been browsing your covers on MC live--especially liked House of the Rising Sun-- didn't that bring back some memories. WOW, you're a valuable resource, thanks for posting the link to my "theme song". I'll continue to work on my computer skills,...

Tom, Gary, Thank you for the feedback,(if you'll pardon the expression). I will eventually learn how to handle the computer part of this, and really appreciate the advice. Being 65, I kinda missed the details on this whole computer thing! Upload, download, stuff that probably should be simple just p...

One of my first projects, pretty rough, but I'm new to this.

Thanks for the comeback, Tom. I managed to get my file onto soundcloud, but don't know how to get it here from there.... pardon my lack of computer skills. If you search "midimoose" on soundcloud, it will come up. Short, fun little ditty I hope. Just using MC6 vstis, and a 2-octave keyboar...

How to get a wav file onto user showcase?

Hi all, Newbie here-- bought MC6 in December and love it. I'm not very computer-savvy, and I'm trying to put a soundfile, (wav format), on the user showcase, but having no luck. I have the file on my desktop, and thought maybe I could drag it into my message, but it didn't work. I typed out a messag...

Re: [WIP] South Islands Jam Session (ReMix)

Hey there, Anorax-- just listened to South Islands Jam-- I love it. It definitely deserves a return and completion. I'm a DAW newbie, having just purchased Mixcraft 6 in December. I'm working pretty minimally with just vstis from mc6 and a 2 octave midi keyboard, but I'm having a ball with it... som...
