Re: Studio Pics! Post pictures of your home studios here.

Hey Guys, Been diverted to this thread for the studio pics, and here we go this is my new setup I've recently relocated from Spain and have now moved into my new place, not a fan that I had to sell on most of my outboard studio racks as the costs of storage are crazy but slowly building it backup as...

Re: Tried Pro Tools for the first time

Another thing I forgot to add is the fact PT First can't open .PTX files which are ProTools files making it useless for any serious music production IMO.

Re: Tried Pro Tools for the first time

Last time I had a look at PT First you apparently can't save or mix down locally to your computer, you can only save to the avid cloud service which is useless to me  . I use ProTools Ultimate/HD when i'm working at my friends place just down the road from me, it's a very streamlined DAW and ge...

Re: Not all audio Daws sound the same ...

Hi Dale & Tony, I did try out BandLab earlier in the year, all worked out well however I must of clicked on something during installation which overwrote all my VST folders and made Mixcraft go crazy  . Like I always do with new software make sure to take a backup before installing just in ...

Re: Modernize the user interface

Hi, +1 Nathan, Totally agree with your post as I myself would much rather save money for more gear than have to splash out on an entire new PC to make Mixcraft run properly again due to the fact that my PC is slightly to old to run a modern UI. Not only that part of the reason I bought Mixcraft in t...

Re: Reenable Crashed Plugins?

Hi Thomas, Thanks for your reply, will give that a shot next time I am in the studio and let you know how it goes :D . As for the x-Touch Rolling Estonian, I tried your suggestion to no avail. I had a look on the Behringer Forums to which it states that the X-Touch doesn't support Midi Learn which i...

Re: Reenable Crashed Plugins?

Thanks guys, no resolution as of yet it just stays in the "Recently Crashed" tab, if I try to click the arrow which is already ticked it moves it to the "Disabled" tab :( . Will try the newest version as I am still on Build 413. Also - I may need to create a new thread but anyone...

Reenable Crashed Plugins?

Hey all, Quick one from me, this afternoon I was working on a bass line using Studio Devil Virtual Bass Amp and upon mixdown it crashed. It seems to be applied to the mixed file which is great however how do I re enable that plugin? It is one of my favorites at the moment and I couldn't find anythin...

Re: inporting sounds/files

Make sure when you try the CTRL+A technique you do it in the windows explorer where the 40 tracks are once all 40 tracks are highlighted (in blue find pic below) you should be able to drag them in and MX will start adding tracks and filling them. (Only thing I have found is that it jumbles up the or...

Re: Clipping in playback within DAW...

Hi Dale, In regards to the "no dsp required" Focusrite are basically claiming that with their interface you can have near zero latency while also monitoring VSTs which in my eyes is a bit of sales technique. No hard feelings to them though as I have been using some of their stuff for years...

Blast From The Past - Mixcraft Compatibility with Digidesign 003 desk?

Hey guys, I've recently been talking to a good friend of mine who is a sound designer, she wants to move to a more portable setup so we have come to a compromise by trading some gear. I am giving her one of my M-Track Eight audio interfaces from the editing workstation and in return I am getting som...

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!

Hello guys, I have been having a think here and there and have decided it is now time to add my own contribution to the mix :D . These are features I have found useful at the studio I work at and are features which both Protools and Logic Pro X have however I would at some point like to see them inc...

Re: inporting sounds/files

Hi, I find that the easiest way is to double click the inside of an empty track (where the audio would usually be) and when the 'Open' box opens up navigating to the sound file your after. This works for all types of audio e.g .WAV .MP3 .OGG etc. Hope this helps you workflow wise cause I find it so ...

Ferox Tape Compressor Presets Saved Where?

Hey guys, Another question from me (again!! ). A friend of mine who I've recently done a mix job for has just bought the Ferox Tape Compressor himself as he uses Cubase. As I used that on one of his Cabaret tracks he has asked for my preset, however I am not sure where it is stored. Would any ...
