Re: Tracks from other projects appearing current project
Thanks so much for your reply. I actually took a closer look at his system, and it seems he's basically thrown all of his projects together in a great heap, with project files and their associated subdirectories an absolute, confused mess. I told him I really can't do much for him unless he sorts i...

Re: Izotope 9 - should I buy
If you do lots of mixing, sure. If not, then just know each month Izotope has sales on their own site and on Plugin Boutique.

Re: Recording Midi from Instrument Track Using Loop Midi
It worked!!! It recorded the audio on the track.Acoustica Greg wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 4:24 pm Hi,
What happens if you put some MIDI on that Hy Slicer track, then right-click to the left of it and select "Mix To New Audio Track?"

Re: Recording Midi from Instrument Track Using Loop Midi
And Loop Midi is working fine when I record midi from one track to the other. Thanks for sorting me out! This is what's been getting me confused! It's actually AUDIO that's coming out from some of my plugins on Virtual Instrument tracks, not MIDI. Is there any other way to record Audio from a Virtua...

Re: Recording Midi from Instrument Track Using Loop Midi
Hi, Not all virtual instruments output MIDI. You could try LoopBe, but I don't think there's anything wrong with LoopMIDI. Try what I did: just put some MIDI notes on a track and set it to output to LoopMIDI, without any virtual instrument on that track, then arm another track to record from LoopMI...

Re: Recording Midi from Instrument Track Using Loop Midi
Well data is showing up in the Total Data column of Loop Midi but not the Throughout/sec even when I change plugins so it may be Loop Midi itself.Acoustica Greg wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 3:48 pm Hi,
It's filed as a feature request, but I don't know when it will show up.
Are you sure the plugin is outputting MIDI?

Re: Recording Midi from Instrument Track Using Loop Midi
Hi, This will only work if the track sending MIDI out to the external device (LoopMIDI) is actually sending out MIDI. I put some MIDI on one track, set it to send out MIDI to the external device, and set another track to record from that external device. That worked, but the MIDI was coming from th...

Re: Recording Midi from Instrument Track Using Loop Midi
Record the midi data (or audio) coming from the Hy Slicer plugin on the Drums virtual instrument to the Drums out virtual instrument track.
I set the loop midi on both tracks but it's not receiving anything.

Recording Midi from Instrument Track Using Loop Midi
I add Loop Midi after the instrument/effect on the instrument track. Then I arm another instrument track and select Loop Midi as the device. I've been using ALL CHANNELS on each. It's not working. I completely forgot how to do it. Can you remind me how to record midi (or Audio) from an instrument tr...

Re: Converting Projects to Mixcraft 9
Thanks for your replies. I'll just continue doing a Save AS and keep both project files in the V8 folder.

Re: Converting Projects to Mixcraft 9
No, you don't have to. You have to open the MX8 project with right click and 'open with' --> Mixcraft 9. Than you have to save project as MX9 file and you can keep both 8 & 9 project files just in case or delete v8. I know I can open the project with MX9 but it's the saving it as a new one that...

Converting Projects to Mixcraft 9
I didn't check the box to convert all my projects to Mixcraft 9 for fear that I would maybe lose something? But now I have replicate projects in various versions and I want to tidy up those folders. Is there a downside to converting to version 9? I own it so I'm not concerned about a trial running o...
