Re: Tip for acoustica and question..

Nicky - I don't disagree with you at all. I too would usually go down the route of using pre-made loops - or in my case I use Superior Drummer. However the thread was beginning to go down the route of how to program your own beats and also the OP wanted access to samples and loops. Those two copies ...

Re: SFZ VST FILES

Just to back up what Rhustrom said here is a short video of the sound library being loaded into the Plogue player and then closing the player window. The sounds are still loaded into the vst and play fine with the musical typing keyboard with or without the interface open (I used the Musical Typing ...

Re: Tip for acoustica and question..

The June and July editions of Computer Music Magazine has a 2 part article all about building drum beats and fills. The free downloads for the 2 months also contains a load of fairly good drum beats including a whole section of acoustic drums beats, Hi-Hats and a load of loops as well. This link is ...

Re: PAN Left and Right

I haven't completely thought this through but would you be better using different output track. IE the click track on an individual track but with the output routed to the monitors rather than the main speakers?

Cheers

Re: 64 bit issues

(3) stop moaning about it and faffing around and get on with writing music Considering the quality of your music (which is excellent) I tend to go with this option!! However if you want to do a bit more faffing another idea to throw in to the pot is to use a combination of 32bit Mixcraft AND 64bit ...

Re: 64 bit issues

Isn't it the case that if you have both a 32 and 64 plugin and you're running MC7 64bit it'll select the 64bit? M I think Nicky is saying that she has downloaded 3rd party plug-ins and elected to only get the 64bit versions. So if she runs 32bit Mixcraft those plug-in wont work unless she also down...

Re: Humanizing Suggestion

Thanks for the tip, I'll have to look into that. I honestly don't know anything about sfz files. sfz is essentialy a "container" that holds details about a whole range of samples packeged in to one file. So for example you could have an sfz file that has (in your case) a whole range of dr...

Re: 64 bit issues

I think it is worth installing 32bit and doing some direct comparisons. You are aware that you can have both installed at the same time?

Re: Zoom R16 as an audio interface

Not sure what you mean by template? I have a Zoom R24 which uses the same driver and it does work with Mixcraft - with a couple of provisos. You must make sure that you have the Zoom set up at 44 Khz and not the default 96 or you could get crashes. Doing this will give you an eight input interface. ...

Re: Splitting Virtual Instrument Tracks

Absolutely you can do that. In the MIDI clip simply right click on the tracks title bar (IE the slightly darker blue bar running across the top of the track) and select split from the drop down menu where you want the split. Then you have options - you can right click on the bit you don't want and s...

Re: midi instruments pitching down

Firstly - welcome to the forum! It sounds to me like it is possible that the pitch-bend wheel is a bit dodgy (just a guess). If you have any electrical switch cleaner try spraying it - even if you haven't try manipulating the wheel a few times (IE rolling it backwards and forwards a few times) to se...

Re: One other noob question for now lol

There's an on-going glitch when I put in the registration number. It nags that it is for MC Pro Studio and that I need a retrieval code. I'm thinking that the OS is just not recognizing the full version. I had a problem for a while with my system convinced that I had an unregistered version. It was...
