Playing a keyboard on PC through Mixcraft

Post by Diaro » Sat Mar 23, 2013 6:03 pm

I am sampling the demo Mixcraft, but I can't play my old cheapo Radio Shack keyboard through Mixcraft on my PC.
Q: If I purchase and download Mixcraft, can I plug in an old Radio Shack keyboard via a MIDI/USB cable and play songs on my PC through Mixcraft? Can I hear and record keystrokes on my PC through Mixcraft? Thanks

I don't know "Radio Shack" keyboars, but Mixcraft sure supports midi keyboards (even the cheaper ones - f.e. the Keystation Mini 32 I currently have connected. My computer doesn't have a direct midi in/out, but I use a Presonus Audio Box via USB2 and thus can use other midi devices for input, such as Akai EWI, too. With the right Asio codecs the speed is nothing to complain about either.

I think this better fits into the Mixcraft or Hardware Wars board btw.
