Empty House (registered working title)

Post by gypsy101 »

the rough spliced together version. all 3 verses are the same 1st verse.I'm having writer's block for the rest. :?

it's still pretty rough & still the same 1st verse all 3x but all vocal doubles, backing,& harms were done manually.
I was just working on early vocal production, which parts to double & the harms to see if it was overdoing it on the vocals. I don't want it to come off like Alice In Chains or Crosby,Stills,& Nash.

opinions on too much or too little vocal doubling & harmony parts?
remember- it's still very early in production.

While I love both Alice in chains and CSN I feel your safe in going your own direction on this one. Not too many harmonies, they're spaced well and in relevant sections in my book. Although, I can't hear the mid harmony very well in the latter sections (with the soprano part). Guitar work sound's good. I like the solo section. Drum's need help. If you'd like I could lay a track as soon as I get my e-kit back from Eric's daughter. Vocal could perhaps be captured better, but is decent. Over all good tune when you get the rest of your lyric!

Very cool... I love the way it's going. Lot's of soul in the intro, but the drumming doesn't hold up after it. I can't hear where you go with it from here. BTW, I loved the harmonies.

It may be a week or so before I get my drum's back, but I'll give it hell if you're not done by then. I'll keep in touch.
