Oh yeah, nice!

If I could make one suggestion, the first section, which sounds like an Erhu, violin, fiddle..... 8) stops much too abruptly at around 1:52. It would be nice if it sustained a bit and faded off more smoothly.

The second part coming in at 2:49 really sounds a bit to me like the Japanese Shamisen.

Not a critique as much as an observation. Nice track, I enjoyed it!

Nice to see you're still hanging in there Dave, with a great soothing tune too :)

I entirely agree with you it is abrupt. I think the best way forward on this is to maybe have an echo that fades over time at the end of that sample. Thanks so much for the links too :-)

Thanks very much. I've not had the creative flow for some time, so yesterday, I found a few samples and built that song around them using VST's and some drum loops. I thoroughly enjoyed myself!

Mixcraft is just brilliant as it allows me to just get into the music creation. The only thing I REALLY dislike about Mixcraft, is that master track fades are not very fine. I needed about 20 points to get a really fine and slow fade. Please Mixcraft give us some nice fade tools in V7 :-)

Hey Dave,
Depending on what you are working with, you might be able to just drag/stretch the tail out a little and fade the level to get a smoother ending to that track.

I was so impressed with your sound, so I downloaded "Zebralette" demo version. But when I played there was some distortion every 20`th second. Do you know if this is put there on purpose on the demo version?

Hi

There should be no distortion using Zebralette and its a full free no limitation working version, albeit a cutdown synth. I know when you install it, it also installs a version of their paid synth 'Zebra 2' which does have demo limitations. Make sure you are loading Zebralette.dll into your software and not Zebra2.dll

So when you see your list of installed VST's choose Zebralette and not Zebra2. Also, when you have the synth loaded you pick prestes from the preset drop-down (see screenshot) Hope this helps you.

My sounds are not just a synth preset out of the box, I tweak and add other effects and filters to the sound. Here is one of my favourite effects (Ambience), that I try to use in all my songs. Its all part of the creative process.

Thanks! I will remove Zebra 2 which apparently downloads automatically together with Zebralette.

Pleased to have helped, and thank you very much for your kind words about my music, much appreciated. Let me hear if you do anything with Zebralette.

I've been doing it wrong all along, your tip worked! Dragging out that way you describe rather than adding point after point... Why did I not think of doing that........ Thanks.
